Good quality but too small
Other reviews were right on this: good quality and tricky to put on. But the biggest issue is that L/XL is just too small. It doesn’t fully cover my forearm and pinches the skin where the padding is supposed to be lawyered up. Would probably work well on thinner arms but I’m not exactly schwarzenegger, either.

Great brace
Best brace I’ve owned. Very comfortable, good materials, good build quality materials. A little on the small side but not a deal breaker since I have pretty big forearms.

Uncomfortable and cheap
Strap is not padded well. Hard to put on with one hand and size is too small. I ordered a small because I am a woman with skinny arms and it must be made for a child because it barely goes around my arm. Spend a little more and get a better one.

Great product
works well, restricts range of motion which I think is the point.

Expensive elbow strap for a good quality reason.
The materials used for this Shock Doctor brace are very nice. The workmanship is very good also, no missing stitches and all parts are sewed tightly and securely. The velcro is in high quality and durable. Not the weak materials I have seen on other elbow braces I have used before. The plastic buckle is light, but it can handle force from my hand. The adjustable size can be as small as a 10” circumference or as big as 15” circumference on a forearm even it is said it is for 11” to 14” on the box for L/XL. It has 2 layers. The base layer making contact with your skin is 3” wide and extremely soft, the outer layer is only 2” wide and rough, but that’s the layer that provides support to my forearm's muscle and the tendon. I have had tendonitis since September. I have been using the cheap stretchy bandage wrap as elbow support and they don’t really give me the support I need because they don’t provide good stability for my elbow. This one does it for me and I like the breathability of the vented neoprene on this brace. I wore it during my workout over the weekend and I didn't feel uncomfortable or too warm. The velcro on this elbow brace is the strongest I have used. However, it is a one piece unit, hand washing it is a small challenge for me because it has a long band and take a little longer to air dry. Other than that, I can’t find any shortfall.

Compression above and below elbow is better for treating injury.
Didn't provide much support from recent injury. Be aware, Large-XL isn't very large at all. If not large enough, there's a velcro surface contacting skin that causes discomfort. Too small or not, the strap seems difficult to loop and tension just right with one hand. I found it necessary to loop the inner band and start the other velcro through the plastic loop and hold this in place while sliding the arm through loop; if velcro strap slips out of the plastic loop, getting it back in was hard to manage without the end hanging up on the opposing velcro side and gripping rather than passing easily back through the plastic loop. Then the inner tension had to be nearly perfect or the outer strap couldn't add any tension. Maybe this is okay for recovery after therapy but there are other alternatives for that too. I mean ideal ones for treatment and onto recovery that are compression braces with strap. This just seems a step down when experiencing an injury. Did some research and found that an elbow brace with compression and strapping is preferred among reviewers I found with similar injury. Hyper extended elbow or tennis elbow injuries needs support and pain relief immediately after injury and during recovery. But also consider RICE, which is acronym for Rest, Ice (3 times daily), Compression and Elevation. Which is suggested for immediate treatment (first 72 hours but don't forget your doctor). The elbow is weaker at extension under stress. But the elbow is quite sufficient, otherwise but also prone to reinjury or injury at older age. Best to heed that for future reference though, in some injuries, this may not be avoidable. My injury was certainly avoidable if I had known better at the time. Lead times for devices like an elbow brace are long so I'm making due with an over the calf compression sock with ends cutoff at the moment. I had a pair already for travel but found I needed it less for circulation and more for temporary compression sleeve for elbow injury while waiting on a real elbow brace with compression. If the compression sock was fitted properly to your calf size, there's a good chance it works as compression on your forearm and bicep; cut to length and wear as needed. Using this strap over the temporary compression sleeve until a hopefully better compression sleeve with strapped elbow brace arrives. Amazon slowed the arrival due to holiday shipping congestion. But this with or without the extra compression is better than nothing.

Works great for tennis elbow
I saw a doc for tennis elbow last year and they recommended a brace as part of recovery/therapy. I've used two other braces prior to this one, and this is the best by far. The wide strap makes it more comfortable than the others and provides a uniform amount of restriction/support around the forearm. It is a little tricky to loop the strap with one hand, but you get the hang of it pretty quick. Overall this is comfortable and works great for workouts and tennis.

Good But Clunky To Put On
I get forearm tendonitis and tennis elbow every so often so I've used elbow and forearm sleeves the past. This strap support helps provide compression for my upper forearm where all of the pain is situated and is able to provide ample (and adjustable) compression. However, I deducted a star as its a bit clunky (ie hard) to put on and apply the appropriate compression since there are a few adjustments and straps that need to be handled. Still would recommend, though.
