Not easy on old bedframe but be prepared
Product only comes with 3/8 inch stem holders for newer frames. I needed 5/8 inch for 50 year old bed. Lucky for me, I measured everything ahead of time and was prepared. Sheperd sells the 5/8 stem holders seperately and apparently only Amazon had them. You have to search and look for those. (Thank you Amazon for carrying both items). You will break the old plastic stemholders removing the wheels if they werent already broken. By the way, all 4 old plastic wheels were broken too. So now the bed is slightly higher. Great.

Can't remove plastic sheath from metal stem
I did not need the plastic sheath on the metal stem and tried to remove it according to brief instructions on the package insert. Both my husband and I tried using a screwdriver, crowbar, and pliers to no avail. I searched the internet for other ways to remove the sheath, but they all said use a screwdriver. That proved Impossible, so I applied for a refund and return to Amazon. I then ordered a different brand that said the plastic sheath was removable, hoping that would work. When I tried to print a return label for the first product, Amazon refunded my VISA but said to NOT return the item! Huh?! Well, OK then, maybe I'll take a sledge hammer to the sheath and not worry about damaging the wheel because I would be throwing it away anyway. But then I thought maybe if I could heat and soften the plastic sheath it would be possible to remove. So I brought a cup of water to boil in the microwave, immersed the plastic stem of the wheel into the cup of boiling water for 60 seconds. Then removing the wheel from the water, used the screwdriver again to pry off the sheath.... and voila! The plastic was softened enough to be pried off!! Yay -- it worked!! But oh great.... I'd just ordered another set of wheels that I don't need now. Hope I'm in time to cancel that order from Amazon. My advice to Shepherd Hardware: Include in your instructions to immerse the plastic sheath on the metal stem in boiling hot water for 1 minute for easy removal with a screwdriver. This will reduce customer frustration and unnecessary returns.

Decent Price
Decent price I only needed once replacement wheel it comes with two, and it’s available through prime so I got this even though it’s not a brown castor wheel it fit and works just the same for my queen bed frame

Good
These are very attractive and I appreciate that they match my decor but they need better instructions on how to remove the end caps and adjust the locks. These end caps would NOT budge and neither would the locks. Then I read a previous review which stated they soaked the wheels in hot water for a few minutes and so I did the same. Voila. I was able to remove the caps with pliers and I believe the hot water released some oil in the lock because after soaking it easily turned. To lock you need to move the lever down toward the wheel. I wish they provided better instructions.

Great for a Replacement
The caster on our king bed frame broke and I needed a replacement. The Shepherd Hardware 9535 fit the bill perfectly. Well made and easy to install.

Easy to install
Comes with bushing that is easily removed to fit in frames with permanent bushings and fits perfectly in them, good quality, well worth the money for the two pack of castors.

Quality bed casters
Raise bed frame by 2 inches and under bed can be used for storage boxes. Shepherd hardware is usually dependable. They do what they're supposed to.

Perfect fit. Well made product. The plastic inserts are very durable, no cracking or warping. I hammered mines in with ease. Would recommend if you're looking to replace your bed rollers.
