Since it’s advertised for *daily usage - the bottle is really way too small -especially when it’s long hair * Really great conditioning product - my hair smells wonderful and feels luscious and soft ! There are other products that are *similar—but they are NOT as good as “Carols Mothers Daughters”- So don’t waste your money on cheap imitations *

After shampoo I spread a small bead in my hands and rub it into hair, not scalp and let sit for 5 minutes then a short light rinse. Hair is much more manageable and smells of a delightful light coconut sent. Try it! You’ll like it.

2c 3a hair, fan of the product but not the fragrance.
I have a very very sensitive scalp, and low porosity, 2c/3a hair thats fairly thin and very dense. This gave me good moisture that did not weigh me down, but compared to the “knot today” from aunt jackies I usually use, i needed to use ALOT of product. But the moisture did penetrate deeper and not leave a sticky residue or any buildup. I ended up mixing this with jojoba oil and using it as a leave on under a cap for like an hour and my hair has never been that soft. My biggest qualm with this and honestly every shea moisture product is that the fragrance is SO heavy. Fragrance is a really bad irritant that can mess your skin up, give you allergic contact dermatitis and even sensitize you to other products over time. People act like essential oils are better for this but... essential oils are VERY concentrated volatile oils and you should not ever apply them directly to your skin. People act like natural unprocessed ingredients are always better. Y’all there are natural things that would have no problem killing you and penicillin isn’t exactly natural. I did not realize how much fragrance was in this product until i used it and ladies it’s alot. Fragrance really shouldn’t be listed as a main ingredient. I wish they had other options. The conditioner seems to work ok as i rinse some out and apply it to my hair not my skin, but whenever i use shea moisture shampoo it eventually breaks my scalp out into a rash and it’s not fun. Sometimes i even get breakouts along my scalp from the shampoo because it’s basically just parfum with some mild cleansers in it. They make the stuff that works the best for my hair but it always smells SO freaking intense and breaks my scalp out and that’s just such a bummer. Also shea moisture actually seems like a really nice ethical company, and i wish they made safer products for people with sensitive skin so i could actually buy from them instead of all these other beauty companies that sell progressivism and use women and the idea of helping the environment as an advertisement but buy ingredients linked to the slave trade, sell skin lightening cream in other countries, and have a rainforests worth of palm oil in every plastic bottle. Sorry for going off like that about conditioner but it’s not really just conditioner. My products arrived on time and were as advertised. I wouldn’t recommend this if you have kinky curls or coils, but thinner curls and waves like mine would probably do well with this product.

Doesn't really work for my hair
I have long (over half way down my back), curly, thick hair, and I really really wanted to love this product, but it just doesn't work for me. It feels like I need a lot of it, and feels a little... dry (??) when I'm putting it into my hair. I've tried once with a lot of product, and it just made my roots really greasy really quickly, and my hair frizzy. I tried a second time with less product, but my hair felt really dry in the shower, and dried frizzy again, which I don't have as a problem with other conditioners normally. I really really wanted to love this, and it does smell amazing!! I just don't think it works for my hair type :(

Great conditioner
Leaves hair soft and easy to detangle. No scalp problems from using product. Gentle on hair with loads of slip for detangling curly hair and lovely scent.

Broken and not full lotion
Quick delivery however my picture is hows how I received the product. The box is undamaged but the pump doesn't work and it looks to have leaked. Not as much as what is missing from the bottle.. I would like a refund! Thanks
