These are fantastic

I love Shark Bite Connectors. If anyone tells you they leak, it’s because they didn’t properly put them on. If you seat them properly, they never leak. It is easy to not seat them properly if you’re not careful. There is an orange tool that you can buy that you can slip on to the pipe and you can see how far the shark bite needs to go on. Just slip it on and mark the pipe with a Sharpie. The tool also lets you deburr the end of the pipe. It’s only about $10, but you should have one if you use shark bite connectors. Connect them right and you’ll have no problems.

Made it a breeze to DIY install a new water heater.

Sharkbite fittings are a no-brainer for novice DIYers. They make it super simple to make connections. I used this one to connect a piece of PEX to the water heater. No need for the 2 or 3 90s. I was able to curve this around the water heater to make the ridiculous cold water connection on the Rheem heat pump water heater which features this connection at the front bottom of the unit instead of the top like all other water heaters.

Exactly What I Needed

I had to move my hot water heater and was replumbing with PEX. These were the perfect solution and since they are flexible it allows you to move things around a little bit without issues. Extremely simple to install, I just put some teflon tape on the threads of the hot water heater and the PEX just slides in. Highly recommended.

just the right type for this application, very good quality.

thank you for being so understanding about returning this item. The first set were the incorrect for this application and these flexible hoses were the right item. BUT...when the plumber came to install, replacing a new hot water heater was not the issue, yahhhhh but a leaking condensation line which drained into our overflow pan under the water heater. Thank you for making it so easy to return these fittings.

Install could not have been easier. Used a pipe cutter, reamer, and marked the install depth, went right on and does not leak!

DIY ez install.

We have the older version of the sharkbite connector. The inner wall of the connector broke down and we started to see little pieces of black substances. This is the improved version. It’s not as flexible as the previous version. It takes a bit of work to get this on and adjust.

Sharkbite water heater hosers

Pain in the arse to install ???? hopefully I won't have to worry about changing them again. I couldn't get the previous sharkbites off, so I had to cut it off.

It's a SharkBite...

SharkBites aren't cheap, but are super easy and seem to either leak or hold from the start. I ended up having one of these leak, but it was just a matter of popping the old one off, new one on, and everything has been good. I did remove the insert as I was dealing with copper. If you want a "plug and play" option for your water heater, these are great, but you do pay a premium.

Easy Installation

Very well made, high quality stainless, easy to curve with no kinking and no need for teflon or thread paste. If you haven't used SharkBite or corrugated connectors before, a few tips. Selecting a longer connector than your measurements will allow you to make larger loops which are easier to maneuver than short tight bends. Also don't forget to clean your 3/4" copper pipe on the SharkBite end and put a mark at 1 1/8" in. When you're ready to make the connection I suggest pushing the SharkBite end first all the way to your mark and then make the connection on the tank side. A final note if you've never used SharkBite connectors, the loose white plastic sleeve inside the end connector should be removed (long nose pliers work fine).

Glad Amazon has the 3/4x3/4x12 size

I am so glad that Amazon carries the ¾” x ¾” x 12” Corrugated Stainless Steel Hose. I could not find the 12” anywhere else, and I bought two of the hoses to replace my water tank flex hoses. After two weeks of waiting, the original order was lost somewhere. Thanks for Amazon customer service. Sent me a second package, and received it in one week. The hoses are good. There is no leakage after a month of usage. However, my Sharkbite ¾” disconnect tong does not work on these hoses. The hose is too big to fit in the tong.

Easy to install

By using this corrugated connector eliminated additional elbows and other plumbing parts, took the guess work out of the installation process. Also not soldering or crimping of joints, just push-in and screw-on for peace of mind result, no leak no mess!

Hard to bend and keep its shape, but did the job. Have prime and was supposed to get it in two or three days but was almost a week late.

Good product but needed Teflon tape

One of the 2 I bought was leaking at the threads despite tightening. Plumbers tape took care of the leak but it shouldn't have happened in the first place.
