I’m in love!
OMG! Why didn’t I know about this before? I’ve been doing DYI plumbing at home for almost 50 years, upgrading old systems without shutoffs and adding compression and sweat fittings. Sometimes this was incredibly frustrating and laborious, and downright painful. Then I learned about Sharkbite fittings through the Internet and decided to give it a try. LIFECHANGING! You literally just push it on and you’re done! No drips, no worries about burning, no painful laying scrunched up in a vanity door, no knuckle busting. Almost too good to be true but the results are real, objective and verifiable. And not much more expensive than compression fittings. Definitely will use again, and again, and again.

Never using anything else
Literally just slip it on the pipe end... and you're done. No runs, no leaks, no errors. Love it.

Good product but was missing screw
Would have given it five stars, but it was missing the handle screw. By the way the screw is a m3. Other than that, it was easy to install.

Easy to install.
Easy to install. Can be removed in the futur with the special tool. I bought the special pliers , easy to remove with this pliers. I put it in my rv trailer.

Good grip
They might be a little pricy but they work. Cut the pipe, de- burr and push on. Simple.

The future of plumbing...1/2 inch copper tubing size, NOT 1/2 inch tubing...for 5/8" dia actual tubing...
Amazon's description is confusing and sounds a bit amateurish. This stop valve is the best available. It is ideal for CPVC stub outs found in many of the houses built in the past 20 years. Most all CPVC requires a special glue that cost about $5 for a brush in cap metal container. That glue dries out in the can, so if you do one repair, the actual cost is on the order of $15, with the rest of the can of glue wasted. Nothing can be easier with this valve. You must, however, make sure that the pipe, where it is sealed with the "o" ring is clean and without burrs. Just look inside the end, and you will see the "o" ring just beyond the stainless steel "claws" that hold the pipe in the fitting. So, these are long life fittings. There are NO so called hard to secure proprietary seals. The "push in" fitting was pioneered by John Guest in the UK twenty years, ago. Their patents expired a few years, ago, to the benefit of all. They are the choice for high pressure hydraulic lines in the industry, since the grip of the stainless steel jaws increases as pressure increases. The nice thing is that I will NOT have to cut off and shorten the "stub" as with a glued fitting, for a future replacement. I've tried compression fittings by replacing the brass sleeve with a nylon one, but they do not grip hard cpvc pipe well. The riser fitting could be a "push-in" fitting, too, but the manufacturer chose to use a compression nut for ready made hose type risers. I prefer less expensive PEX tubing risers which could use the "push in" connector. The decorative "U" sleeve on the stub out end has the benefit that it can be used to release the fitting by just reversing it and pushing on the fitting's end. There is NO need to buy the special release tool or to find the one that you may already have in your tool box. As for Amazon.com, their service is phenomenal. I had one stop that leaked around the stem. Amazon shipped a replacement out right away and provided a return shipping label at no cost to me. I don't blame Amazon or the manufacturer. Defects do happen. How it is resolved is very important.

Simple installation
I started using these shut off valves for all my sinks and toilets. Very easy to install and have never had one leak or drip yet. 1/4 turn opens or closes the valve, and you only have to cut and clean the pipe, then press fit on and you're done. These are removable, so I guess when or if one ever fails it will be an even easier replacement.

Parfait pour mes besoins.

Great product
A little pricey but saves on the expensive tools otherwise required and allows for disconnect and reuse which makes it totally worth it!

Definitely recommend for a quick fix and no leakage.
Received in good condition albeit a little bit later than expected but worth the price and wait. Perfect fitting once the deburring process is done. No sign of leakage anywhere.
