PRODUCT TOO DRY - CANNOT GET IT OUT OF CONTAINER

THE REASON I AM RETURNING THIS PRODUCT IS THAT IT WAS SO DRY I COULDN'T GET IT OUT OF THE CONTAINER. MAYBE IT WAS TOO OLD! I BELIEVE THAT THE PRODUCT WOULD BE A GOOD ONE - WHICH IS WHY I ORDERED A NEW ONE. I AM HOPING IT IS NOT DRY. AND THAT IT SPREADS EASILY. I AM WILLING TO TRY IT AGAIN - FINGERS CROSSED THAT THE NEW DOES WHAT IT IS SUPPOSED TO. THANK YOU.

Good Things Come In Small Packages!

I've been wearing makeup for many years and always had fallout so by the end of the day, my makeup never looked as good as it did in the morning. I figured this was just normal until I discovered eyelid primer and decided I should at least try some to see how it works. Based on my searches, there are a lot of makeup primers on the market and I really didn't know which kind would work best for me but I came upon this Shany eye and lip primer and decided to order it because it looked like a good option to try. When it first arrived, I was surprised at how small the jar is. It was loose in the Amazon box with other purchases and could be easily lost so make sure you check the box carefully if you decide to purchase this product. I've included a picture of the jar compared to a quarter. I initially was annoyed that I had paid the money I did for such a small jar of primer but I've been using this for about four months and have barely made a dent in the jar so that makes me happier since it is lasting me a long time already. The primer has little to no scent and is very easy to apply. I just use my pointer finger to dip it in the jar and usually two applications per eye is enough for me. This primer is a lightly-colored, creamy powder and in the four months I've been using it, my makeup has stayed on all day with very little fallout. My makeup is even bolder too so it makes my eyes stand out! I don't have oily eyelids so I can't say how this product works with them but I've used it in the heat and humidity with good success in keeping my makeup flawless all day. Overall, I'm very happy with this product and I will buy it again when the time comes to buy more. At first, I didn't think it was worth the money considering the small size but it is lasting me a really long time already so I feel this product is worth the money. If you decide to purchase this, make sure you check your box carefully so it doesn't get thrown out with the packaging since it's a very small jar. I recommend this product and love how my makeup looks because of it!

Lipstick lasts 2-hours longer But Color Not As Dense

I wear makeup and lipstick on a five days a week basis as a business professional. Not a lot like the average YouTube beauty guru, but just enough to enhance my classic features and highlight my eyes and lips. I am currently using another brand as an eye primer so I purchased this specifically as a primer for my lipstick. After applying this primer for about a month now, I'd say its ok. Not exceptional performance, but not bad either. It comes in a round, one-inch high glass container that is about the circumference of an American quarter. The product is a light pinkish taupe shade, creamy in the container and on your fingertips but will quickly dry once applied on your lips into an almost white opaque shade - making you look like a corpse after it's applied on lips. The good thing about this primer is that it makes my lipstick's color brighter, but the downside also means the color is no longer as dense in hue as intended. By that I mean a super red lipstick will be brighter but no longer as red if it was applied without the primer. With this primer, red lipstick becomes pinkish, nude shades almost disappear and purple, brown and pink shade lipsticks all become lighter by two to three shades in color. In terms of the primer extending the Life of the lipstick on lips, it does. But not for hours on end. I've noticed it has added about two extra hours to my lipstick's wear. Unfortunately, as the lipstick color fades, It leaves a color ring around my lips, as if my lipstick was a thick lip liner, an effect that I hate because it looks unsightly and gauche. For spending only eight dollars on this product, I won't complain too hard, but still wished it added more wear to my lipstick. Not sure if I'll purchase again but I will definitely finish the container, which from as little as is needed to apply, will likely last for months to come. 3 stars out of 5.

Small jar but the product works !!

I am new to primer. After my first attempt, I thought to myself "waste of money". The next time around, well I am quite pleased with the product and have totally dismissed the fact that the jar is so SMALL. I do not use eye shadow, this was basically bought to experiment in regard to my eyeliner collection. On my lids I have gotten pretty results good using an old Besame cake mascara brush. On one end is a very delicate fine brush with gentle hairs. and I can draw a perfect line, smooth and not caked. A LITTLE of this stuff goes a long way. I must say my eyeliner is perfect for many hours. Still looked freshly applied and not a hint of "shadows" forming as the sun went down. Please note if you have very dry lids, this could cake on you. I applied the primer after my eye gel and C cream. Same for the lips. The best lip results were obtained when my lips were moisturized FIRST. I use the same little Besame brush for my lips too.(outline and pinky finger to apply on lip) My lipstick appeared somewhat lighter in color, but the stay power was increased so I am happy. I gave a 4 star rating because I felt the manufacturer could provide a somewhat larger jar. This jar is easy to lose.

Cumple lo prometido

Aunque es muuuuy pequeño, estoy muy conforme con el producto. Cumple lo que promete. Mis sombras con otros primer para párpados me duraban máximo 2 hrs debido a que tengo los párpados muy grasos y se acumulaban en los pliegues. Con este primer SHANY mis sombras me duran por increíble que parezca, hasta 8 hrs! Claro, a las 8 hrs el color ya no es tan pigmentado como recién aplicado pero no se acumula en los pliegues. Súper recomendable!!

Excelente producto

Es un producto estrella escondido! Hay sólo como 2 reseñas en internet, se ve chiquito pero vale cada peso, la verdad esta económico. Es color piel para cubrir las venitas y manchas en el parpado, atrapa muy bien las sombras y hace que duren todo el día aún con mucho calor. Se esparce bien con poco producto lo que hace que dure mucho. Se volvió mi primer favorito después de haber probado muchos.

Es maravilloso, rengo párpado graso muy graso, y está base es lo máximo, la recomiendo, incluso sino se va a usar sombra encima.

Muy seco y grumoso

Mi producto venía muy seco, se hacen grumos en el párpado y el tono de las sombras se pierde con el del primer, lo mismo pasa con los lipsticks. No lo recomiendo

A mí no me funciona. Me lo aplico con el dedo y por más que intento queda con parches. Y no noto diferencia en la duración de las sombras.
