I would buy this item again and I did.

I bought this nightgown about 5 years ago in aqua in a small and bought it again (remembering that it runs big) in black in a small. (5’4”, 135 lbs.) I really like it!

The straps are thin but sturdy

This is a really nice gown. Very well constructed. As other reviewers have said, the straps are thin but sturdy because they are braided. Also the neckline is very attractive, makes me feel better about hanging out in the evening without a bra because I think it draws the eye upward, lol! It is very, very large. I wear a XL or XXL in a top at Target, so based on other reviews I bought a large and it is still way too big. It doesn't bother me because I would rather have extra room in a nightgown than not enough. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is because I feel that at this price, it could have been made of a nice cotton gauze instead of polyester. But if I preferred polyester to cotton I would have given this 5 stars.

Omg!!! Beautiful nightgown

This nightgown is so beautiful and so soft. Almost like it's too beautiful to wear at night. It's so pretty. I got the light blue and I'm very satisfied. Only wish there was a side slit. Nevertheless, highly recommend!!!

Wonderful product and just what I was looking for!

The nightgown runs a bit large; I bought 3 mediums instead of a large after the first purchase. I am a bit picky with fabric and usually only like silk...these are far from silk but the fabric still has a very nice feel. I have washed these with other items such as T-shirts, undies, etc. and they wash well. Hang out after drying and they are wrinkle free too. The light blue is a little too see through for wearing around others (my elderly father lives with me) but the darker colors are okay if you get caught outside the bedroom without your robe. My husband was happy and said "what took you so long to replace your old nightgowns". Overall feels comfortable and feminine. I am almost always extra warm so don't need extra warmth but of course these would not be for you that crave warmth. I recommend this product.

Runs Large!

This nightgown is so comfortable! I love the flowy fit and the feminine details. This is the second one I own but made the mistake and ordered a medium instead of a small. These run VERY big as I normally wear a large but the small fits the best.

order 2 sizes smaller

'fits true to size' should be removed from description & replaced with true size chart. i am usually L or XL but after reading reviews I ordered small & fits perfect. very soft & very well made.

I feel pretty!

I am a nightgown/PJ junkie! That being said, I can say that I am so tired of all the tacky prints and colors of the inexpensive nightwear that I have. This Shadowline gown is wonderful. The teal color is rich and the lace is soft and comfortable and NOT sheer. I am 5'3", weigh 135 and purchased a medium. It is a bit long on me but not quite to the floor. I almost feel glamorous when wearing it - as glamorous as a 72 year young woman can - LOL I am so pleased with it that I am awaiting delivery on another - I can't wait to get the magenta color!!! I will now be able to clean out and donate the gowns I hate wearing!

No wonder it is beloved!

I was extremely pleased with this nightgown. Apart from the positives other reviewers have mentioned (fabric that is slippery, so you don’t get tangled up when you turn over in your sleep, the generous width so that nothing is binding, the perfect thickness of the fabric so it is not see-through), I would add that the gown hangs beautifully and flows when you walk. Apart from that, I was surprised by the quality of the details: The comfortable braided straps, the pretty embroidered lace, the covered buttons and the scalloped edge at the hem. It looks and feels like a nightgown that costs more than twice as much. I don’t know if all the Shadowline nightgowns are made in Mexico, but that takes care of the supply line problems with items from further away. It’s simply wonderful.

Lovely. Would buy again.

Lovely product, but I'm going to try a size smaller. (I am 5'9" 175 lbs and size Large bordered on being a bit too big, although one could say 'comfortably roomy'). Well made, lovely braided straps, pretty front, soft material. Imagine it's going to be very comfortable to sleep in. Perhaps a little pricey, but everything is these days. ????

Perfect fit in the medium. I usually get large for comfort, but this has alot of extra room. Large would have been too big.

OMG, this is so pretty on. You might not expect it but it really is. I ordered a Medium and am about 170ish and it has plenty of room but it is sexy and romantic all in one. Even the color adds to it. Spend the money on it you wont regret it. Neither will you significant other.
