UPDATE June 2017: It's been two years since I posted the review below. I figure I've washed the gowns at least once each week. I'm happy to say that even after an additional 100 washes the gowns are holding up astonishingly well. The only difference between them and a new one I recently purchased for a friend is that mine no longer have the buttons- but that's because I removed them, not because they didn't hold up. The lace is just as beautiful as it was new and the body of the gown is still silky smooth without the tiny "pulls" that nylon gowns typically get from catching on things like jewelry or rough wood surfaces. I'm sad that the other colors I hoped for never materialized but it would be hard to justify buying new gowns (just to get new colors) when these still look and feel new. And in case you are wondering; NO, I do not work for, nor do I own stock in, the Shadowline company. :-) I posted the following review several months ago for the same gown, but apparently a different listing of it since Amazon is requesting I give a review here, so here goes: I have LOVED Shadowline gowns for most of my life and they are the ONLY gowns I have worn for more than 2 decades. The "Petals" style is so soft and silky you would think it is delicate yet they wash up lovely time after time. The pastels can be a bit sheer for my taste but as long as I stick with the darker colors, I never feel like I am exposing more than I care to. Once in a while, I get tempted to try another brand of nylon nightgown for a change, but always end up disappointed. When I saw this new style from Shadowline I had to give it a try. The lacy neckline is even prettier in person and it is not the least bit itchy/scratchy. A word of caution here: if you usually buy up a size or two like I do because I want a ROOMY gown that does not cling across the bust (or anywhere else) and won't twist up during the night, you will not need to do that with this Beloved style. It is much fuller than the same size Petals style gown. The neck and shoulders fit about the same, it is only the body that is fuller. Also, the lace is not backed with anything resulting in a less demure neckline than the Petals gowns. My husband loves it, and I WAS wanting something different so this won't keep me from buying more of this style. For now I have the magenta and the teal colors and I am hoping they will introduce more colors in the jewel tones like sapphire and amethyst. After many trips through the wash and being tumbled dry over the past six months, the decorative lace appears to be holding up as well as the previous style always did-- it still looks brand new.

Absolutely Beautiful
This gown is spectacularly gorgeous. The light blue color is so bright, beautiful, and inviting. The detail of the embroidered lace that begins at the collar and ends at the cleavage is breathtaking. And the lettuce edging on the sleeves and down around the hemline of the gown is the final touch that takes it over the top. The vibrant color of the fabric, paired with the gown’s other beautiful features, inclusive of the flutter sleeves make this gown exquisite. While this gown is 100% nylon, it is completely unlike my other nylon tricot Shadowline gowns, which tend to be more sheer. The fabric and the embroidered lace on this gown make it less of a liquid fabric than its nylon tricot sisters and not so sheer. While the total composition results in a more durable feeling fabric and product, it is still a delight to wear and not at all scratchy. It’s not better or worse than my other gowns, just different. I’m sure it will get even softer with washings. It still ranks up there with my go to gowns. Bottom line, I love it.

Pretty nightgown with a nice slinky feel
I was looking for slinky fabric and this fits the bill. I like the crinkle edging on the sleeves and bottom hem, but the 3 buttons down the front were over the top for me (removed them) The tag is surprisingly stiff for such a soft item so it had to go too. The V lace on the front is a little see through so maybe you don't want to prance around in this in front of Grandma. The fabric itself is a little bit sheer but not embarrassingly so. This is probably not a dead of winter type pajama. I love that I can roll over and the fabric doesn't cling to the sheets. It is a little bit big on me but I'm short so that is to be expected. I wish there were other dark colors to choose from. I would order another if so.

Purchased this for my mom who had been looking for a nice nylon nightgown for a long time. The ones we have seen were really expensive at $40 and up. When I found this one I decided to give it a try. She absolutely loved it and had me to order two more. Wished it came in different colors, but since it didn't, we settled for the blue which is very pretty anyway. The size (2X) is amble and she has plenty of room in it. She weighs about 190 lbs and prefers her nighties to be roomy. The material is nice and not at all flimsy. Very well made. It can be worn without a robe since it is not see through. Very nice for the money!! Highly recommend.

Thin but comfy.
What I liked about this product is that it is very comfortable a little too sheer for me and it could be a little thicker but all in all it is fine

Bleh
For something that looks like an old lady nightgown, it's awfully sheer! Not sure I'll be walking around the house with this for fear of traumatizing my kids. Also, the lace bit is super scratchy and uncomfortable. It's not horrible but, for the price, REALLY not good. Fits as expected. Just pretty ugly.

Just very lovely but fits large
I bought three of these nightgowns, black, blue and pink and all three were just beautiful, especially the blue one. Well worth the money, good quality fabric. They did fit a little on the large side so if I order another and I probably will because I just loved these, I would get the next size down but they are so comfortable to wear. A good buy
