Impressive micro-ratchet; a MUST HAVE tool!

Exactly what you’d want in a tiny bit driving ratchet. I’d highly recommend this as an option for Field Service Technicians, DIY types, and hobbyists alike. Its diminutive size helps you in close quarters work, and saves space in your toolbox or bag. This is a fine toothed ratchet, and gives you a great turning ratio. Although you could call the bit holder a bit sloppy, or wobbly, this in no way compromises the strength of the ratcheting mechanism, or overall function. Typical of Wiha tools, this is a quality item.

The included bit holder is nice and has a very strong magnet in it

The switch to go forward and reverse is very difficult to move unless I put a little torque on the bit holder itself to relieve tension. I opened it up and it appears to be completely dry of any lubricant, so I plan to lube it a little and see if it helps. I will say the internals looked well machined, and it does have a smooth action (they claim 5º of movement, which indicates a 72-tooth ratchet). The included bit holder is nice and has a very strong magnet in it, although I'm not sure why it's included.

Not the quality I was expecting

Just noticed the magnet or ring that retained bits has fallen out after 3 - 4 months. Also right out of the box the direction forward and reverse would change while in use like a cheap ratchet would. Not impressed for the high price. Looks like it’s back to my cheap husky that has lasted for probably 10 years or so
