Great set of floats!
These have been a blast since I mounted them. They snap in super easy and are well balanced in the water as well as in the air allowing for some fun scale flying and smooth water landings. I have modified them slightly by adding some rudders in the back because I did not like the Hobbyzone alternative and a rudder or rudders are essential if you want any kind of in water control. I do think I will later add a couple of chine like fins to the front and inner portion mid way to water line to prevent water spray from pushing up into the props plane of rotation. This has happened a couple of times and it puts a lot of water in places I don't really want it on the plane! I would use some tape on anything you don't want wet underneath your plane because these will splash quite a bit of water underneath. Other than that, these have added a great new flying element to my cub and I highly recommend them to anybody who has become proficient in dry land landings. Water landing are not that much different. Just keep your angle of attack shallow because they will become bouncy with a hard touch down. Oh, and if you get in a pinch you can land these on pretty much any surface. I have landed and taken off on grass (on purpose) and have skidded across a sidewalk and a gravel road (not so much on purpose) and didn't even nose the airplane over! They are very stable on land! There are a few tiny scratches on the plastic bottoms but to many laughing tears in my eyes to care! Get a set of these and go on an adventure! You wont be disappointed! Oh, I better add that I do have an aftermarket brushless motor and I use the 10x8 float prop so that carries these things quite well. I'm not sure how the stock brushed motor on the Super Cub will perform but I have heard it gets the job done. Hope this helps.

Works great
Floats are relatively easy to install apart from the screws, I ended up stripping them so I used super cool as an alternative, to be honest I think it holds a lot better than what screws would do. Can’t wait to get this out on a lake

"Floats hold water"
I got a set of these floats when I bought my Super Cub for the purpose of landing on snow. They work fantastic for this purpose. I still have to hand launch the plane, unless it is very cold out and the snow is super crusty, then it will take off from ground IF there is a headwind. If there is no wind, the plane cannot take off and must be hand launched. I crash landed and the float broke in half, which actually saved the plane itself from damage. I saved the pieces, and glued the float back together (and the plastic mounting bracket) The floats have a hollow in the foam, that fills up with water, and it makes the plane un-flyable. I ordered a second set of floats to use on the water.

Great add on, could use improvement
The product is a great addition to the supercub. Comes with everything needed for water or snow flying (except for a rudder to steer). It is even cool looking. Comes with the larger propeller needed. My one complaint and is a big one is the assembly of the unit. The screws that come with it are very cheap steel and strip way to easily. That in addition to them being a 1/4" too long, makes for an annoying and unclean installation. If the screws were different then 5 star all the way. Maybe if you have the availability, buy better properly sized ones from the start.

Floats add new dimension to the Super Cub.
The Super Cub is a great beginner plane, and its versatility adds to the ability to keep it interesting to fly after you pass the beginner stage. Putting ailerons on the plane is one possibility, but adding the floats and then taking off and landing on water is a whole new skill level. You have to be careful to keep an up-elevator during take-off and landing phases to prevent the possibility of the floats to submarine when the plane taxis or lands, which would result in getting the motor and electrical components wet and damaged. Once that skill is mastered, it really is a joy to fly this plane over the lake.

Use the correct size Phillips screw driver and installation is a snap. You will not strip the heads, otherwise replace the screws with socket head cap screws. Take off into the wind it pops off the water easily. Flies very well with the floats despite the extra wait and drag. Trying to turn around and tax with the wind can be a problem. You need power to make the rudder turn you and the wind can flip you. Water rudder would help. Check online for videos on changing the prop if you are unsure.

This has been a great addition to my cub
This has been a great addition to my cub. It was tricky taking off at first, the plane wouldn't go straight in the water, it kept making sharp turns on the takeoff run. I finally figured out to pull up so it rides on the rear part of the skids. Landing has been great. It's a little tricky steering in the water, I might make a modified rudder. What a blast though.

Pros and cons
Pros: 1) Fairly easy to fly. 2) An added adventure. 3) Nicely balanced. Cons: 1) It requires 20 minutes of assembly! 2) The screw heads strip when trying to tighten - poor quality screws. 3) They have fallen apart twice. 4) It really eats up the battery. 5) The plane is much less stable when using these. 6) They are fairly expensive. Overall, I'm going back to wheels. I've gotten a wheel set that is larger than the original wheels so I can take off from lawns without flipping.

Great Look
Great floats can't wait to try it out when the weather is better. And this does fit the HobbyZone Mini Apprentice. Just an update, the plane flies great with the floats and it is well balanced. Great for flying on snow and water.
