Love these
I absolutely love this brand's glasses. I purchased these to replace some that had been purchased 10 years ago and had gotten severely etched in the dishwasher. These newer glasses are even better! Slightly thicker glass, and just a smidgen wider than my original glasses but as beautiful as always. Mikasa produces a great mid-range glassware and their wine glasses are very reasonably priced as well, while looking like much pricier brands.

Nice simple bar or water glasses
I just got these delivered. They are simple, but a little elegant because of the striped etching. They are thin and very nice. Really good for entertaining.

Don't waste your money
These glasses look nice and are easy to hold but are think around the top rim and are super fragile. I haven't even had them 5 months and two of the four glasses I purchased broke. I'm very disappointed.

???????? Questioning the Durability of This Beautiful Drinkware
APPEARANCE : Beautiful. Very clear and the swirls on the bottom look classy. DURABILITY : These are crystal not glass according to the product description at this time. Glass is more durable than crystal and generally crystal is not dishwasher safe but the product description states that these ARE dishwasher safe. I put them through the dishwasher and they came out looking nice. BUT... the sides of these glasses are thin. AND the pattern on the bottom is carved deep into the glass. The bottom is thick and heavy but the sides are so thin so I am not optimistic about how long these will last. FEEL : These are nice to hold. They feel expensive. They look stylish. The crystal is smooth so nothing distracts me from my drink. ???? HELPFUL? If you like this review, please let me know by clicking on the "Helpful" button ????

Heavy-bottomed, worried about durability
These glasses appear just as pictured, but are much better to hold than I expected. The bases are heavy and well-balanced, making them seem unlikely to tip easily. The pattern in the glass is a deep bezel, which actually also makes these very comfortable to hold - your fingers and thumb have a nice grippy bit to grab. My one concern is that the tops of these glasses seem very thin, and I'm not sure how long they'll last before they break in the dishwasher or in use. I'll update this review when that happens.

Big glasses with thin glass
These glasses are bigger than your typical whiskey glasses but are otherwise good quality. The bases are thick, heavy glass but the sides are thin and will definitely break if dropped. Dishwasher safe and great gift idea.

Fine glasses for drinks on the rocks
I decided to order these because I am building my collection of different drinking glasses and needed a set for cocktails "on the rocks." This set arrived to me in pristine condition. I have ordered other glasses from the Mikasa brand before, and have never had an issue with breakage or shattering during shipment. The glasses were shipped in a cardboard box with cardboard dividers. I inspected each one, and as I mentioned they were all in good condition. The lines going around the lower width of the glass are actually indents, which I like because it allows for a better grip. Each glass has a heavy bottom, giving it a heavy weighted feel that gives the user the idea that it is made of a great quality and craftsmanship. The glass narrows as it goes up towards a thin rim. This is also gives it a fine, elevated feel. I would be very careful throwing these in the dishwasher because of the rim, and I will be washing them by hand. These glasses are perfect and wide enough for large craft ice when serving drinks on the rocks. Price is on the higher end but that is to be expected with the quality and name of the Mikasa brand. These would make a great gift for whiskey drinkers.

not thick glass
Beautiful glasses. Lightweight. Glass is not thick. Compared to other glasses we already have, I am afraid these would break easier. I chose them because we have some bone china plates by Mikasa that have been so awesome. I was hoping their glasses would be of the same quality. These glasses kinda scare me. The size and amount they hold are great. For us, they make a good sized water glass. Overall, a hair disappointed but no regrets.
