Awesome
I can’t believe I waited so long to replace my peeler. I guess I just thought it was one of those things that still worked so I don’t need to replace it. But my old one just wasn’t “cutting it.” Hehe. These are night and day difference. They cut way better than my old one ever did. I’m so glad I made this purchase. Very sharp!

Very sharp!
These are very sharp and have not got dull in the 4 months of moderate usage. The only little downside is that it is very easy to cut fingers while peeling. I peel a lot of veggies and fruit and rarely had such issues with my old peeler that broke. These seem to be shaped differently and maybe I just need to get used to them.

Not what I expected
The blades are not very sharp and therefore I needed to use a lot of pressure in peeling carrots and potatoes. The serrated piece on the large peeler fell apart after peeling a couple carrots and I could not reattach it. They are not durable blades and are attached to 2 tiny round pieces It felt awkward peeling towards my body, so I found it somewhat easier to peel in an outward direction.

Cheapie peeler, but to be expected
Not sure why I'm writing this review. It's an inexpensive peeler that's of an OK quality, as expected from the Amazon Basics line of products. I do like the fact that it comes with a protective sheath that goes over the blade. I wish it was a bit sharper as I've had to go over a zucchini a few times. Otherwise, it works fairly well if you add enough force to your fruit or veggie.

Makes short order out of cutting nice julienned veggies
It made short order out of juilliening a carrot. I found it easiest and safest to hold the peeled carrot on a cutting board and running this cutter along the carrot rather than holding the carrot in my hand. The way this tool works is the cutter has sharp vertical blades that create the julienne vertical cuts, then it runs the carrot over a regular horizontal serrated peeling blade to cut the strips from the carrot. Both take place in a single pass. The added vertical blades meand this gadget needs to be used with more attention than a regular vegetable peeler. But then you want this for its special julienning feature, not its basic peeling fiction, right? I really liked the julienne cutter. It also comes with a regular peeling blade which is also serrated. The serrated peeler, I'm sure is to keep the blade sharp longer, but I much prefer a regular straight, flat peeler to the serrated peeler which leaves a rougher surface behind than a smooth bladed peeler. Bottom line? Buy this for the quick, easy work it makes for creating julienne stripes. Don't buy it if you are looking for just a basic vegetable peeler.

My sister loves this thing
I bought this peeler and another brand at the same time, kept the other one for myself and gave this one to my little sister. As long as I've been around her--she's really an in-law--she's always peeled things with a paring knife. I notice she's no longer using the paring knife and her husband is even starting to use this guy. I asked both of them how they liked it and each of them said it's a lot easier than using a knife. I might buy a few more to give to friends.

Room for improvement
Very basic, comfortable in hand, sharp but somehow does not work smoothly as my other peelers therefore I think 3.5 stars are fair enough. I have got another peeler for few pounds more and the difference is like a night and day. Does the job but in terms of smooth movements/ peeling that one is not the best. Cheap alternative so might be worth trying but so far I am not much impressed.

Strong, comfortable to use and quite attractive in design
During lockdown, I have found myself cooking a lot more than I used to and on many occasions, I have found that my existing kitchen utensils have not been up to scratch. As such, the opportunity to try out some new kitchen utensils was very welcome. Notwithstanding that this peeler set is made from nylon, it feels very strong and robust, with very little flexing of the material in use. Accordingly, it doesn't feel like they will bend or break easily in use, which is something which I couldn't say of my existing utensils. A further positive is that the peelers are fully dishwasher safe, meaning that not only are they easy to use, they are also easy to clean. The dishwasher doesn't seem to have any noticeable impact on the finish of the peelers but I suspect some discolouration might occur in the longer term. In the meantime however, the grey finish with a lime green stripe looks quite striking and should fit in well in any modern, but plain kitchen.

Works well
Works well just they do not seem very sharp but good at removing the outer layer of the potatoes,takes off only the thin layer of skin from the potatoes and i do not get why one would have spikes on a peeler as its proves difficult to use to peel potatoes, unless its for some other use what I'm not aware of. But overall I'd say they work just not sharp enough for me personally.
