Explosive Shades

God help me, I love the way I look in these sunglasses and the polarization clears my vision wonderfully but these shades are wreaking havoc on my life and relationships. Every time I say goodbye to someone, I turn to walk away, take a couple steps, slap these bad boys on and then the person I was speaking to explodes. Every. Time. Without fail. I’ll have just finished a transaction at my local green grocers, I’ll say thanks to the cashier, walk out side, put on my Serengeti’s and then the teller will explode. Ball of fire, windows exploding, avocados everywhere. It’s relentless. My roommate was consumed in a ball of fire last week and I don’t know how I’m going to pay my rent. My girlfriend was vaporized. I’ve stopped seeing my friends and parents because I can’t stop them from exploding! What’s worse, there’s no statute of limitations on when they will go up in flames. I tried saying goodbye and leaving then waiting until I was in a cab before putting on the sunglasses, my boss still exploded even though I was three blocks away! I’ll have to try bidding farewell to my enemies but I’m only marginally employed. What enemies do I have? My conscience is hobbling me already! In short, buy these if you want to look like a devil may care jet fighter pilot but be prepared to live with the curse that comes attached.

Missing ear piece

I’ve worn these glasses for years, this is my 4th pair. I love them. Is there a new design? The ear protector pieces on this pair have been sliding off since day one. I’ve always been able to find them and put them back on. We’ll today I lost one. Is there a way to get replacement ones. I do t want to buy a new pair of glasses but they hurt to wear now! Thanks

Awesome, but polarized ...

I purchased these glasses for my husband -- to replace 25+ year old Serengeti glasses. He LOVES them, though the polarization does make viewing his phone and tablet difficult. I would give these a 5 star rating if it wasn't for the polarization. It is not Serengeti's fault, it is the nature of polarized lenses and polarized glass on phones and tablets.

Excellent sunglasses.

My husband had a pair 20 yrs ago and really liked them. The new pair looks great, feels fantastic and completely comfortable. Recommend them wholeheartedly, especially under the Arizona sun!

Still Classic, but Better

These glasses are light, comfortable, attractive, and they work wonderfully both for driving and just wearing around in sun or glare. I've worn Serengeti aviators or drivers for thirty years, and I've always been happy with them. When the arm screw fell out of my last pair after nearly twenty years of faithful service, I thought I might take advantage of newer technology. I'm very pleased that I did.

Excellent comfortable glasses

The glasses are amazing, but the cloth is useless for cleaning it just smears and leaves residue.

These are the Polarized sunglass so they are some what darker than the Drivers. I like them better than the Serengeti Drivers.

Great Lenses and gun metal finish

I have always loved the great Serengeti lenses. These are also polarized for extra glare protection and have a special gun metal finish that I think will last better than the gold tone or matte black finishes I love them

Simply the best

Been wearing Serengetis for years.This pair replaces a recently lost pair of Marcos. Great build quality.Thin, light glass (not plastic) lenses. Italian frames. Can't think of a better pair of drivers' sunglasses. Polarized lenses don't appear to interfere with my car's info screen.

Poco effetto fotocromatico

Ho acquistato un paio di occhiali da sole Carrara con lenti Drivers, minerali polarizzate e fotocromatiche, da utilizzare in un'auto sportiva decapotabile. Uso la lente polarizzata per ridurre i riflessi sul parabrezza. Ho due paia di occhiali da sole Rayban con lenti polarizzate e sono stato sorpreso di notare che i Serengeti Drivers erano più scuri dei Rayban che avevo usato abitualmente. Mi aspettavo che, dato che le lenti Serengeti sono fotocromatiche, avrebbero avuto una tinta più chiara prima di essere esposte alla luce del sole. In effetti è difficile notare un grande effetto fotocromatico. Mi aspettavo una tinta più chiara che diventasse sensibilmente più scura quando esposto alla luce del sole - in questo sono rimasto deluso. A parte questo gli occhiali sono ben fatti e comodi da indossare. Purtroppo non sono quello che desideravo o mi immaginavo che fossero (per quanto riguarda la tinta e il grado di effetto fotocromatico).
