Quality

This product may be more expensive than the other hot stone sets on Amazon. However this is going to be the best for the price. During my practice as a therapist it’s more easy to set the temperature and have it set instead of other products where you just have to guess the temperature.

Stones are small

If you have big hands it's hard to control on client due to them being flat.

Works well and looks good, but missing stones

Overall, I do like the product. However, it only came with six large stones and not the six smaller stones, despite there being an obvious place for them to have been in the packaging. Amazon service generally fixed this by crediting me an amount to get some generic replacement small stones, but just be forewarned that what you get may only have 6 stones instead of 12. Other than that, controller is simple to use and heats up pretty quickly.

Great after long days sitting in an office chair or standing all day!

This product works exactly as described. The box heats to your desired temperature (in 5 degree increments) within about 20 minutes, depending on how hot you like it, I use them at 135 degrees Fahrenheit. The 9 stones (6 large and 5 small) that come with the kit are really smooth and retain heat very well. I'm sure you could add your own stones that are heat tolerant to add even more to included 9 stones. Also be sure to try the heat on the area where you will be placing the stones, as different parts of the body tolerate different temperatures in their own way. For Use: The center of the metal heating plate within the bamboo box seems to be the hottest point. So, I would recommend putting the bigger stones in the center and placing the small stones around those them to really get a good heat soak on the larger stones. It definitely works best to have someone assist you if you are laying on your stomach and would like to get an even heat transfer on hard to reach portions of your back. If you would like to use it on other parts of your body for muscle pain or relaxation it is easy enough to do on your own. It has been really nice to have something like this that does a great job while not having to leave the house and pay for expensive therapy sessions. It is a nice way to relax and relieve tension after a long day of sitting in an office chair or standing all day for work. I would definitely recommend this product to anyone looking for a nice stone heating set for home or on the go (it travels very easily).

Works great, but not well built.

If you're going to plug it in, set it up in your workspace and leave it there, this product works great. I love having precise teperature control over the heat, and the smooth stones are easier to clean than river rocks... BUT the box is cheaply made. When installing the power cable you'll have to be careful not to push the female end of plug into the box and lose it in there, and the hinges and latches are not sturdy enough to stand up to regular travel.

The Best!

As a massage therapist, I have used in many different hot stone set ups in arrangements. Crock pots, roasters, hot Towel cabinets too. After 15 years I finally purchased this and it is beautiful! And finally get stones out with No Noise! It’s a beautiful bamboo case and so aesthetically pleasing. Stones heat up fast it’s easy to switch them out for warm ones,so zen and professional

Well Packaged

I am impressed by how well the stones retain heat. Being able to control the temperature without using a thermometer and tongs to pick up the stones , makes giving a stone massage a breeze!
