Worked great, until they didn't
Took a bit to figure out how to get them connected and set up to work with Alexa, but after that they were great. Until the Sengled server went down 4 days ago and the lights no longer turn on or off as scheduled, and if we ask Alexa to try to turn them on, it says the server can't be reached. So, feeling pretty much like we've wasted money at this juncture. Edit: turns out the problem was with our Echo Dot. A quick reset by unplugging the Echo Dot and then plugging it back in solved the issue. I have raised my rating of the light bulbs. If I can figure out what causes the brief "flash" before the lights come on in the morning and fix that too, I might raise it again.

These lights are AWESOME! My spouse does not like lamps at all… these have changed his opinion, now that we can say “Alexa, lights to 20%” What’s even better is that the Alexa setup was a total breeze!!! For two light bulbs it took a total of 6 minutes to set up. Win-win all around!

Easy set up does not work with Alexa as should
Just because it's says works with Alexa doesn't mean works great with Alexa. Works best with its own app. Finally removed all bulbs and went back to conventional method of using my hands for on/off

This smart light bulb is everything fro me who works 2nd shift!
I recently changed my work schedule from working a typical 9 to 5 first shift job to being promoted working a second shift job where I am away from my home in the evening where it gets really dark in my neighborhood. Living alone, I try my best to make sure my lights are on whether in the living room, bathroom or outside porch light while I am gone so I can have a lit house to come back to at night to avoid strangers thinking I'm not home. I bought some smart plugs on Amazon for my lamps inside my home to turn on the lamps while I am at work during the evening but I didn't have anything to turn on my porch light while I'm gone at work and I really didn't want to leave the porch light on outside because that would take a hit on my electric bill. A friend of mine told me about smart light bulbs and I never even heard of them until she showed me hers and how they work. I thought this was perfect for me since I can use on my outside porch light to turn on remotely while I am at work. I went ahead and bought a smart light bulb from amazon not really knowing the best one to get but I took my chance and went with this brand. When I received the smart bulb, I noticed it came with an adapter and one light bulb that looked to me like any ordinary lightbulb but I guess the adapter is for connecting to my wifi adapter which was easy to set up. I am not really a techy person so I for sure had to follow the instructions but it was super easy to install. When I plugged in the light bulb into the porch outlet and connected it to my alexa app, I was pleasantly surprised how bright the light turned on as well as I really like the option of being able to adjust the lighting from dim to super bright from my app whether I am at home or away at work. I love that I am able to turn the light on outside from work because it gives me a sense of safe and security when leaving work not having to pull into my driveway when it's completely dark on my block. I enjoy being able to pull up to a well lit driveway and when I am inside, instead of flipping the switch which sometimes I forget and end up going to bed super tired, I can simply open up the alexa app on my mobile device while in bed and turn off the light. Another thing that is cool also is that I can have it set on a timer. I am really loving living in the times of modern technology because products like these really help a lot and save me time from getting worried if I am gone during the evening and not having my lights on. This smart light bulb has been a life saver for me and I am going to purchase a few more because I want to put one in my bathroom and my backyard porch.

They're good lightbulbs, but I really wish they were Wi-Fi compatible instead of bluetooth compatible.

Lights for the Lazy and Forgetful
I got a free one of these with my new Alexa echo and I really like the concept of being able to turn off the lights in case I forget. I set up the light I got in the dining room because that light gets turned on and no one turns it off in my home. And ended up buying two more packages to put around the house. I have them in my office in the kitchen and in my bedroom so that I don't have to go upstairs to check if the lights are off or get up to turn off the kitchen lights after sitting back down. My only complaint is that sometimes Alexa doesn't turn off all the lights I've grouped together at the same time and I have to ask her twice to do it. I would not recommend in a touch lamp either

Works Instantly, Simple Setup, Worth The Low Price.
UPDATE 6months in: they have reworked the phone app, and it is a much more pleasant experience. For firsts it doesn't log you out randomly any more, and the design is much nicer! Everything is in a much better configuration and updates for the firmware are quick and smooth. Thoroughly impressed! I just wish you could control the lights remotely, when away from home using the app. At the moment Google home is capable of managing the lighta when in away, I don't see why this app wouldn't be able to! UPDATE: I am 2 months in, this has to be the best purchase I've ever made for myself. I've been able to automate my morning wakeup at 6 am every day to the point where I am up as soon as the lights turn on. On top of that i am able set the lights with google assistant on my phone and never have to get up to adjust the dimmer. This mafe QoL much higher for me, thank you Singled! Easyset up using the app. The installation is extremely simple, plug the power and the data cable into the hub. Install the app from the app store and you're pretty much done. To initially set them up, you will need to use the app for iOS or Android. After the set up you can control it with alexa, google home, or google assistant right from your phone. Bulbs can be set to turn on/off on schedule(AMAZING feature), and monitor usage. I have mine turn on Monday through Friday automatically at 6AM for work, along side with an alarm clock. It is a really pleasent experience for a much cheaper price than Philips hue or other brands.

Bluetooth bulbs just seem hit or miss depending on location
Bought the 4 pack because the first couple I had worked reasonably well. I have one location above the sink which is exactly 15 feet from the echo, it has a direct line of site with no obstructions and is in an open ceiling fixture. It has been problematic no matter which Sengled bluetooth bulb I put in. The most annoying thing is that 10 minutes later the bulb will connect fine. I had previously installed a Sengled colour bluetooth bulb and same issue. I have reset and paired the light numerous times but still get the same connection failure within 24 hours. I have reset the echo several times but the issue persists. I have these bulbs in the bedroom and living room that seem to have much fewer connection problems. Pros: 1) Easy Installation; 2) Good Alexa integration; 3) Reasonable price. Now the bad: 1) Bulbs depending on locations seem to drop their connection frequently. 2) May be subject to interference from microwaves, cordless telephones and other 2.4 Ghz devices. To be fair to Sengled, it is probably Wireless interference in that location causing an issue. However these bulbs have been on the market for quite a while, so one would think that connectivity issues would be well documented and reasonably resolved. The Sengled help section for the Bluetooth bulb on their website is very minimal and really only gives a little blurb on how to reset the bulb if you are experiencing connection issues. I will probably end up putting a Wi-Fi bulb in the fixture like a TP-Link Kasa or Philips Wiz. I was trying to avoid having too many Wi-Fi bulbs on my network, but I suspect it is the only solution short of a Zigbee bulb (ie Philips Hue) with a hub.

A good product for a little excessive work arounds
A good annoying to set up but does what it does I find it the sengled bulbs are quality bulbs but unnecessary. The provider's Hub is a little tiny box that you have to hide somewhere in your house. I'm going to return the product in by bulbs that do not require a hub. I find a lot of other hubless bulbs have more functionalities than what the app provider sengled. Unless you intend to put your whole entire house into RGB speaker mode I don't recommend you buying a sengled set up for the basics. There are more cheaper alternatives that are Google home compatible or Alexa compatible that do not require a hub. One of my peeves eyes I have a sengled Boost bulb that will not work with the Hub Ergo will not work with Alexa or Google home Mini. I originally bought the sengled starter kit so I can integrate this bulb into my network so I can control it via voice unfortunately that is not possible. When trying to set up the Boost bulb I had it said it was not compatible with the Hub meaning is not going to be compatible with any smart speaker. Install was a bit hard because you have to manually type in the Mac addresses of every individual bulb or scan a QR code that is really hard to scan. As for my other bulbs you can simply just detect them with the phone app.

Good entry point to bulbs but has flaws
I went with these because the price was attractive. It's ridiculous you need a hub for these things (just a money grab), but this set was the cheapest. They work pretty well, on anything above 50% brightness the light is great. Haven't had issues with connectivity. Connected to Google home and IFTTT easily. Now for the bad. 1. The app is absolutely garbage. It's slow, feels janky, hard to find anything. I would recommend not to use it, and get on Google home or IFTTT right away. 2. Anything under 50% brightness doesn't feel natural. It has a strange grey tinge to the light. 3. 1% brightness is not 1%, it is much higher. So if you want to emulate the morning sunrise, it will be harsh because the light comes pretty strong at 1%. 4. Google home sometimes says the bulbs are not reachable, even though it still executes the command. I don't know if that is the fault of Google or sengled, but it's a bit annoying to do the goodnight routine on Google home only for it to complain about connection.

Entire House Outfitted
The media could not be loaded. We have 15 sockets in our place. We have set all of them to sengled smart lights controlled through the sengled hub. The response time, and the quality of these lights and the started kit outweigh all other brands. Sengled is single handedly the best smart lights brand and their veriety is very impressive. They have the be12, a19, and other standardized formats for all sorts of applications, In our case the entire home can be turned off or on with a press of a shortcut on my phone screen. Or I can ask Google to turn all lights off except the ones I want on. Last feature that is super neat, is that it monitors the kWh it has used to date from the day they were set up. Very happy with the overall setup, quality, and performance of these lights. Would recommend getting this starting kit go get the foot in the door on smart home automations
