Very well built and design
Purchased to obtain lighter and more versatile chair than current full size wheelchair for 94 y/o family member. She requires frequent medical followups so lots of taking chair in and out of vehicle. The chair is much sturdier than I imagined and it’s dimensions are perfect for narrow door and hallways. Have not navigated any stairs or used in yard yet but balance and center of gravity was well thought out. Comes with a study seatbelt. The chair came fully assembled from California to Tennessee with beat up carton without any chair damage. The footrests are easy to take on and off and they swivel as well. The handles fold down against chair facilitating easy loading and lock into place. Not a problem for us but seat is narrower than standard size wheelchairs so for oversized bottoms keep that in mind. Tip: Although at least 14-15 lbs lighter than our standard chair I could lift it into trunk of mid size sedan effortlessly by slightly flexing my knees and sliding the folded chair up my thighs chest high eliminating bending and back strain. With the absence of wheel handles for self rolling the knee to foot height is perfect when seated to scoot around the house and obstacles. Highly recommend this chair.

Super easy to use and amazing customer service.
My husband had a fracture in his pelvic area due to an accident, so he is unable to walk outside without a wheelchair. My husband is 5'8 and 148 lbs and I'm petite (5'2) so very difficult for me to push the big bulky and heavy wheelchair but this Medline Light Transport Wheelchair is perfect, so easy to push and maneuver. However, one of screw to lock/unlock the seatback is loose and I tried tightening it but it won't hold and the seatback will suddenly go down which is very dangerous when pushing the chair outside or entering the elevator door. I e-mailed Medline customer service, and they responded within 24 hrs. I was told that they will be sending me a replacement wheelchair and I don't have to return the one I have.

Weight
This is exactly as described. I am 72 and purchased this because I cannot lift a regular wheelchair in and out of my truck. But this 22 lb transport chair is perfect. Would recommend it to anyone for transport but not for self use because there is no access to the brakes from the sitting position. This is strictly for transporting another - one to ride and one to push.

Exactly what I wanted.
I needed a lightweight wheelchair and walker and that is what I got. It glides really well compared to my standard wheelchair that weighs twice as much. Caveat! THIS CHAIR IS FOR LIGHT DUTY! If you try to go over, bumps on the sidewalk, you will damage the chair. It’s designed for getting around the house and doctors offices with nice smooth floors. I already modified it by attaching the foot rest to the frame with a little bit of Velcro. Yay! I don’t have to take them on and off anymore. Also added a rear view mirror. It’s essential for getting around busy hospitals.

Great transport wheelchair
Purchased for my elderly father to get him to and from various appointments. This is super easy to fold. Way easier than his walker! It has made our lives and his life so much easier to get him around. This is a great price for this wheelchair and it is an excellent quality wheelchair. Shipping was fast and it arrived in perfect condition.

Product could be good without obvious flaw.
This product supported my weight of 250 lbs. but because of an apparent manufacturing flaw the pin that must retract into the canes for stability of the handle bars would not move on their own. So unless you want to carry a hammers to encourage them to do so this item is dead on arrival with customer service who were very friendly upon contact but completely ineffective for correcting the problem or replacing the item. Although amazon has a return button on the page they only refer you to their so called customer service department. Amazon.com has been my go to place for almost everything, but apparently too many returns by people that abuse their return policy thing are a changing with their business model. Although it took the seller some weeks to respond to my issue they eventually kindly replaced my chair with the same model with some subtle revisions. Too bad they had to go to that expense but I gave it one more star because the chair does the job it was designed to do.

Perfect transport chair.
Light weight, sturdy for big momma, big back wheels for rough travel. Very fair price. Icing on the cake is amazons customer service. Chair arrived with missing part (damaged delivery box, part must of slipped its way out.) Called Amazon customer service and in less than 24 hrs, it was replaced.

A convenient option to a regular wheelchair
An inexpensive but well built transport chair. Perfectly suitable for conveniently pushing someone through a shopping mall or on the sidewalk. Large rear wheels make it easier on rough surfaces (uneven pavement etc.) This chair is not designed to hold up to wear and tear of a standard wheelchair. Consequently it’s much lighter and more portable which is the reason to purchase it.

Bad handling and bad adjusting the Chair mechanism.
To Amazon Customer’s service Subject: complaints about an order of (Transport chair) Sir I’m so unfortunate and upset to order an (Aluminum Transport chair) from Medline Industries Inc.; for the following reasons: 1. The chair was not delivered to my house according to the usual way of delivery; but left in the Post Office which hurt me lot; since I’m an old and disabled man. 2. Both brakes of the chair were misadjusted; and the handle grip wheel locks did work. 3. One of he Seat Back release assemblies was loose and the pin failed to engage into its hole. 4. As a result of the carelessness in handling my order; I found myself to ask for help to pick up the chair from the Post Office and to find somebody to re-adjust the brakes. I’m, as an old customer with Amazon, asking you to forward my message to the manufacturer in order to be vigilant and more careful. Majid Al-Kaysi

Very good value. Rolls well.
I bought this for my father who is 180 lbs and 5'8". He says it is very comfortable and the large wheels help to make the ride smooth over small bumps. Sometimes he sits in it at home instead of the normal house furniture because he says it is so comfortable. It is very light for the size, and easy to push with someone it it. The foot rests remove, handles fold down, and sides come together about half the original width, then it easily fits in any small hatchback and probably most sedan trunks. It can be collapsed, or reassembled, in under a minute. It fits in the rear of my Toyota mini van without any need to collapse. I just put it in the back standing on the wheels, and lock the brakes. The construction is very good, but beware this is a light duty chair which I don't think can take extreme use. It doesn't go at all in gravel, sand or thick lawns. I was afraid to break it when once I tried pushing my dad across the lawn. I took my dad to a cemetery with a paved foot path that had lots of roots raising the pavement. The chair felt like it was twisting out of shape, and I am sure it would not endure a lot of this twisting. The chair is not meant for "off roading". If you stay on hard flat surfaces it is a great chair for the user and the pusher. I think it is very good value and would highly recommend if used only on flat, firm surfaces.

Just arrived by UPS, pretty happy with the promised delivery date!
The box is broken, but don't see any damage to the unit. I am happy with the promised delivery date. I've talked with some vendors lately for various units, none of them could promise similar speedy delivery. It is fully assembled, ready to try. The seat is not particularly comfy, but fair enough for a transport chair. It seems pretty good. My only concern is if the frame and front fork are strong enough to survive our upcoming Europe road trip. We are back from Europe. Although the wheelchair doesn't seem that solid, it survived our 20+ days Europe trip including some heavy use in Czech Republic. My Mom is 150lbs. We can safely use the wheelchair in smooth surface, airport, or museum. It is light weight, easy to transport when needed. It fits perfect fine within BMW x3's trunk. The wheelchair survived some stone road like Prague, and Fussen. A solid purchase, we are happy. We are also willing to pay more for a unit with more reenforced wheel and frame.
