Handy tool!

The light up seam ripper is great - makes it much easier to see. The cap doesn't fit well... other than that no complaints.

Awkward to Use Magnified

It rips seams as it should, and the light is awesome and very helpful. The magnifying piece is awkward to use, my opinion. Flipping it down to get it out of the way makes the ripper bulky and makes it harder to use. Taking if off works but then you up your chances of losing it.

Rounded tip

It has a rounded blunt tip. Which makes it harder to remove a tight seam.

I used this product to remove stitching from black material.

Cumbersome

I thought having a magnifying glass and light would make seam removal a breeze. I decided to spend the extra money instead of buying just an old fashioned seam ripper. I really wanted to like this but it is so cumbersome to use. The magnifying glass actually covers your view of the seam and the light isn't strong enough for my 1.75 reading glass eyes. I tried this and ended up removing the stitches blindly and it took much longer than if I had a regular seem ripper. For some things the old ways is the best way.

Works great. Sharp.

This is a great stitch ripper. It is very sharp. The light is handy. Magnification does not work too well but it just clips on and can be easily removed.

Gets the job done, but a little expensive for what it is...

The magnifier and the light are nice additions, however a bit awkward. It takes a bit to get accustomed to working with it, when you've been using just a standard seam ripper for a long time. For this cost however, I would like to see a bit more durable design. I do a lot of costuming and couture garment construction. I'll be curious to see just how long this magnifier lasts before it breaks or gets lost from the unit!

I find the lighted magnifying much easier for ripping out stitches like black thread on black material ...

Bonus that it has a light!

This was perfect for my mom who always has trouble seeing the thread when ripping.
