This tank is beautiful and so light! Unfortunately, mine came very scratched on the inside of one side wall. I think because it was packed with accessories (filter, light etc.) that were just rattling inside the tank with only some double sided tape, that apparently had no intentions to secure anything, just make a sticky mess that took me over an hour to get off. Since I didn’t want to use chemical cleaners or leave a gummy chemical mess inside of a fish tank that I intend to put live fish into (perhaps I should have been more clear upon placing my order?), and my seven year old was threatening to set it up himself, I took one for the team and sacrificed my manicure. Having said all that, and now having the unpacking ordeal behind me, it really is a beautiful tank, we’re all very excited to get it cycled and stocked. My advice; don’t order the combo set unless you’re sure it’s going to be carefully packed/distributed (acrylic scratches way too easily); you’re better off ordering your own marine land or aquaclear filter, plastic plants and saving yourself the annoyance.

Everything great, except for the light fixture, very dissapointed.

The aquarium came for the most part as described. The filter that I got with it, was not the one pictured, but I do believe it was a better filter, so I am in no way dissapointed with that. However, the light fixture that came with the tank was kind of flimsy. The fixture arrived faulty and would not stay on unless light pressure was applied to the light itself. I thought maybe putting the splash guard on might fix it. This did not fix it however, and instead the light bulb fell out from the fixture. I'm fairly certain that I placed it in correctly, and even had someone else try. After close to an hour of trying to get the light to work, and either the light not turning on, or half the light falling out of the fixture... I gave up. I went out and bought a new led light fixture for my tank. This was kind of a huge dissapointment as the executive package with the light is the reason I was purchasing it. I am currently using the splash guard to keep water from evaporating, however I am not using the fixture.

Tank not the right size, no filter, no plants

The tank looks nice but it is only 24 inches in length..... it also did not come with a filter as advertised. The fake plants, net, thermometer were not included either. The main problem is that the tank is simply not the 29 gallon 30" tank I ordered. The one I received is 24"L x 13"w x 16" height. This really messes up me setting up my new aquarium. Not to mention everything that is missing... Very frustrating.

A little dissapointed

So we recived our tank and it was beautiful. First we started filling the tank and found the filter was smashed- the outter shipping box was intact so I didnt think to check. They did fix the problem and I was able to get a filter. Second after starting to fill it I found a tiny leak at the bottom. I will be fixing it with aquarium sealant but this means draining, fixing, and refilling which is a little disappointing.

My review will be minus the filter with pros and cons. First pro- filter cut out was large enough for me to use my previous filter - enabling me to not have to cycle the tank. Second- doesn't leak, is light weight and attractive. Third- came with net and two nice fake plants with lava rock bases which will aid in the bacteria cycle.Fourth- I could not find acrylic tanks bigger than 8 gallons in the big box pet stores so this was a good find. Cons: the top is not removable. This is not really too much of an issue but is kind of a pain when removing or adding fish. Still not that big of a deal as the openings for the filter and hood are decent sized and some people may actually prefer this. The water conditioner they added would have been a nice touch if the package had not broken and dried all the contents on the package. All in all I am satisfied with this purchase and I received the item very quickly.

Super Cool Tank for my turtle!

The style is awesome, Shelldon loves it! Lightweight tank makes it easy to move, when it's empty of course! So reasonably priced. No leaks, no mess, no fuss! The only flaw is the top...the holes are big enough for a lamp/light but it makes it difficult to lift a turtle in/out of the tank. I suppose it works great for fish or other small creatures, but Shelldon has to be turned sideways to lift him out. He doesn't seem to mind though!

Tank itself very clear and light, yet sturdy

The tank itself is nice. It's very light and sturdy. The top is okay. It's harder than my open top (glass) tanks and can be difficult to get large decor in and out. The hood is junk. Very poor quality. I find that it gets algae faster than my glass tanks, not sure why... (Close to natural light source). My fancy goldfish seem to love it and it's fluid corners are a lovely touch. Overall satisfied, but Seaclear should include a better hood for this price.

Has a fixed top

I love my new aquarium. I got the 29 gallon size. It came with an Aquaclear filter-good quality. My only disappointment was that there is a fixed top. There is a main opening that’s about 25” by 5.25”. Keep this in mind if you want the put in bigger decor pieces or even a 3D background that seems to be so popular right now. There are also two smaller openings at the top-one round one for a heater and a smaller rectangle for your ‘hang over back’ filters. If you are just starting out with aquariums I highly recommend this package.
