It's literally just a mesh bag and a small zip tie
I mean, I knew what I was ordering when I ordered it. The quality seems mostly good, it claims to be welded seamlessly but in two of the four I bought, there were definitely minor flaws. For some reason, I ordered the four in a single click and they showed up in three different packages.

Zip tie..?
For how much I paid I was definitely thinking it would have a zipper or some way to close it other than a reusable zip tie. Love this brand but not this product.

The Best Most Advanced Media Bag On The Market
The best filter media bags I've come across in over 30 years. As a long time fan of Seachem products, it didn't surprise me that they would develop a media bag that surpasses all others. The fundamental problem with most filter bags is that the sides are stitched, this means that over time the acidic elements in the aquarium water along with the constant water pressure, especially in canister filters can result in burst seams. Another problem being the sting type closures. These closures are usually cotton or a cotton and synthetic mix. The closure will break down at some point depending upon the water parameters in your tank. These bags are inexpensive and can be replaced but who really wants the extra burden of opening up your filter to check and or replace a media bag? The media bag by Seachem is a 180 micro mesh with welded seams, these seams can last for decades - the possible way they would burst is if you over fill the bag with far too much media. As for the closure, it's water safe plastic, which once locked in place isn't going to pop open and blast media into your filter and all over your tank. Another benefit of "The Bag" is that it's immune to recharging media with bleach as you can do with Purigen - one of the most advanced filtration media on the market today.Any other media bag would never hold up.The one complaint I have and this has to more with the Marketing of Purigen itself rather than the bag. Is that Seachem should do a better job making it clear that you must use at least a micro mesh of 180. To use a wider mesh you'll end up with any very fine media such as Diatomaceous earth or Purigen pouring out of it like flour through a sieve.Yes, at $14.95 it's expensive, but if you take good care of it you'll never have to replace it. To find it here on Amazon for a mere $8.13 is an absolute steal. Considering how long this product will last it pays for itself, many times over. I use them in all my filters and would recommend them to any hobbyist.

Large fine mesh bag works but over-priced
This bag is basically the same as what Seachem uses for their Purigen media. This bag is quite large. It includes a zip tie that can be released, so that's what is meant by "resealable". I'm not sure how long the zip tie will last. This bag supposedly will not degrade as fast from holding chemical media. The problem is I don't really see a big advantage with this bag from the other fine mesh bags that I've used. All of my other fine mesh bags also hold Purigen and they are much cheaper and they are just as easy to tie/untie the drawstring. I don't really think this bag is worth the price tag when I can grab one that works just as well for $1.50.

It’s an expensive mesh bag
For what it is, it is grossly overpriced. Sure, welded seems, but it looks like someone even less skilled with scissors than me made the cuts before it was welded. Just looks and feels much cheaper than the price asked. Won’t be using.

Good job this wasn't a condom. I'd be screwed.
I had high hopes for the durability based on it's premium price and it's boast about being "an innovative welded filter bag with a durable non-stitched seam". It also says it's "resistant to bleach, caustics, and acids, and comes with a convenient resealable locking closure". The bag split on me and I've snapped the reusable zip tie after about 2 months of usage. Also bleach will stain it.

Do not use with Purigen
Seachem's website clearly implies this bag is suitable for all Seachem filtration media. However, as I poured in the Purigen (thankfully over a jug) some fell straight through over the table. I did read that Purigen can shrink over time but it has only been regenerated once so I don't understand why. I bought this to replace bags that came with Fluval FX4 filter which are less resilient. But at least I can trust the media to stay in those when inside the filter! I do normally think highly of Seachem products but this was more a surprise than disappointment. The hunt goes on for a suitable fine filter bags.

Great bag for the job, but terrible value for money!
Seriously Seachem? Your normal filter bags are £3-4, this is 4x the price. It does the job of holding in Purigen well, but they are making a killing on selling this bag, knowing fine well it's one of the few on the market that is fine enough for Purigen. 5* for performance, 1* for ridiculous price.

Not a brand new produxt
Bag was already ripped open before taking it out the plastic envelope. The product also cost £4 extra than other aquatic shops online. Won’t recommend or buy from this seller again

Shoddy quality
Has a bloody great hole in the corner and is splitting down the side, lost about half a tub of purigen all over the kitchen before I realised - lucky that I did notice before I put it in the filter or my fish would have probably eaten it too. I thought these were supposed to be high quality?! For the ridiculous price I would have expected some kind of quality control. I now need to buy a replacement bag AND more purigen...
