Raises alkalinity too high
You have to be very careful using this in a saltwater tank because not only does it raise pH it also raises you alkalinity. Make sure you test both when using this product so your water levels don’t go too high.

Boosted my PH quickly
I would say this definitely did it's job, but it boosted my PH in both tanks extremely fast, so use sparingly especially if you have a smaller tank. I followed the directions in both my reef aquariums, and it boosted the pH a little too well. All of my corals and fish are doing much better with the balanced PH, but I will be using less than directed in the future to maintain because it worked so well. I love all of the Seachem products

Is the best thing to raise pH in freshwater tanks.
I've found this is best thing to raise pH of freshwater tanks which the pH became too low. I've had many freshwater tanks & am a fish biologist w 40 years of exp raising freshwater tropical & native fishes. Any decaying material i.e plant material, wastes etc lowers your tanks' pH. Even if do water changes that isn't enough to raise pH back up to at-least 7. Some fish wastes etc always down in gravel & nooks & crannies & that lowers the water's pH down to 4-5, that low of pH makes the fishes' tails clamp-up & the fish get listless. I use 1/4 teaspoon of this powder into ea 5 gal of aquarium water in the aquarium. Mix the powder in a small jar of water & pour that into the tank of fish, then stir the tank, after it all dissolves (wait), then check the tank's pH. If the pH is still below 6, add another 1/4 tsp per 5 gallons. If your pH was very low, adding this product turns the water very cloudy but fish survive it fine, get the pH up to 7. If you add too much of this & your freshwater tank's pH goes up over 8.5, that high of pH will eventually kill your freshwater fish, so if you find you accidently raised it to over about 8.3, siphon off all white powder you'll find in the tank & do big water changes to get the pH back down below 8.

Does what it says, but watch out for dKh levels
This product does what it says, I had to dose like 3 times to get my pH where it needs to be, but then resorted to just adjusting my return nozzle to have it break the surface tension of the water for CO2 exchange, which is a much better way of raising pH. This pH buffer will raise you dKh levels too, as that is associated with bringing the pH, so just be careful of that.

It did exactly what I bought it to do.
My marine tank water had a low pH of 7.8 and after using this for a week my pH is 8.3 and I couldn’t be happier.

Awesome product
Locks your ph at 8.3 what’s not to like! Most ph adjusting chemicals will yo-yo your ph up and down this one will never exceed 8.3 and helps to hold it there.
