Versatile and hearty

I'm picky with my kitchen sponges. I despise sponges that stink after a few uses and often find myself sticking them in the dishwasher or microwave to try to kill bacteria and prolong their usefulness. I was a bit dubious with these because I wasn't sure they'd hold up in the microwave due to the mesh on the "scrubber" side. After nearly a month of use, so far they have not started to stink! Therefore I haven't needed to chuck it into the microwave for a steam bath. This sponge feels like a cross between a wash towel and a course sponge. I love that it's dual sided but that the cloth side is really cloth and not just a plastic-like sponge. The cloth is much more hearty and durable than a typical sponge. I always make sure I do a final rinse in hot water to kill anything and so far that has kept the stinkies at bay. So far, I'm a fan.

Combo of dishcloth, sponge, scouring pad

The Greener Clean Dual Action Scrub & Wipe feels like a cloth cushion, with a stretchy layer of open-cell plastic on one side. The sponge action is very good and the plastic mesh feels much safer on my nonstick cookware than the typical supermarket sponge with a scrub side (even though those are billed as non-scratch). It rinses well but let’s face it -- it’s white, and most food residue isn’t. So it marks up right away and you will want to take advantage of it being dishwasher-safe to be sure it's clean. It does seem pretty durable for a “green" product, or "greener" at any rate. The marketing makes a big deal of the sustainability, and while I’ll give the company points for recycled content, it’s not recyclable or compostable at the consumer end, because hello, the plant material is combined with plastic.

works for washing dishes super well

I've used this this manufacturer's sponges for many years. Wanted something less environmentally impactful so tried "Swedish dishcloth." Hadn't used a dish cloth since I was a kid. The cloth didn't work for me as somehow I slopped soapy water all around when I handheld a dish and tried to clean. Back to the blue sponge until... this new sponge! Described as a greener sponge, seems like it's better and hope so as I'm content with it's function. Lathers easy and stays soapy, soap rinses out fast when I want it to and softly squeezes to pretty dry. Been using multiple times daily (cook 2-3x a day and no dishwasher). No crumbling or cracking of this new sponge. Picture of sponge is after using for a week. Highly recommend - good-bye trusty blue sponges.

Scrubs well, holds up well

I'm always looking for kitchen products that will actually last. I don't want to buy things like sponges frequently with how much plastic there is on them. I like that these sponges are seemingly going to last me a long time. They do a pretty good job scrubbing, and the other side of the sponge is very soft but still cleans well. The best part about these for me is that they're dishwasher safe so I know when they go through that wash they're getting sanitized at those temperatures. I've been using the same on since I got them and have put it through the dishwasher twice. So far, it's holding up perfectly. I've also been using the sponge to scrub my counter tops and they're great for that. Overall I really like these sponges and I think the price is great with how long they seem to last. I would get them again.

A Gentle and Effective Scrubber for Everyday Cleaning

Scotch-Brite Greener Clean Dual Action Scrub & Wipe is a dish scrubber that offers dual action with non-scratch scrubbing on one side and soft absorbent wiping on the other. Green and they clean

These pads work very well and do not scratch stainless steel or ceramic cookware, utensils or containers. They get even stubborn bits of food off very effectively. It rinses cleanly and has no foul odor when left to air dry. The only downside is that it doesn’t seem to have the durability of the original non-green Scotch Brite pads, and it seems to wear out and lose its scrubbing power more quickly.

Clean look & dye free!

The first thing that stood out (to me) about the Scotch-Brite scrubber is that the absorbent side feels like a soft kitchen towel. This scrubber is dye-free, glue-free, and BPA-free, which is nice. Due to the light color, I've been using this for our handwash items.

Not bad

The soft side of these is good for my ceramic cookware so that's nice. While dishwasher safe I think you really need to rinse them out by hand after. Also I am not totally sure how many washes the scrubby side will withstand. I do wonder how much of this is green washing and if it's MADE to be more sustainable in any way or if the sustainability aspect is just that they encourage you to wash/keep using because you can do that with a regular sponge too.
