Nice Daily Shoe

I wear a wide shoe and Skechers always seems to have shoes that fit well. Even though I have not had the best of luck with Skechers' quality, I thought I would give these a try. Unfortunately, the threads have been coming out since a few months after I got them. I am including a photo to show what I mean. I can probably trim the strings, but they have been getting worse over time. These shoes fit great and look good. I don't do much hiking, but they are great for all day wear at amusement parks or a day of shopping with the wife. Even with the strings coming out, they are still holding together and look decent. I have had them over a year now. The original laces finally gave out about a month ago. I am actually considering buying a new pair of these.

Nice boot for the money

I bought these mainly for hiking, comfortable and good grip. I do feel they are a tad on the large size as I had a little more foot room than usual, could be a good thing when hiking as feet tend to swell.

Great purchase for a discerning gentleman!!!

Great purchase!! I bought this item after recieving an inheritance of Amazon gift cards from a recently deceased uncle. Apparently he hoarded those things thinking they could be valuable assets once the dollar toppled. Anywho, the boots are great. They fit perfectly, and unlike most shoes, I didn't feel the need to replace the insoles. That is quite refreshing, as it appears Sketchers isn't in on the insole racket most shoe companies participate in. I've worn these boots almost every day since purchasing, in many different environments, and I have no complaints. I'm on my feet a ton at work, and I come home without aching feet. I get into some sketchy situations in my pursuit of crack cocaine, requiring me to traverse many obstacles and environments, and I've never had an issue with slippage. They're also definitely waterproof as advertised. I also quite enjoy hiking, and these have been great for accessing those hard to reach areas to gain some privacy. Overall, I'm extremely happy with this purchase. Sketchers has gained a new customer, and I'll likely buy another pair when needed sometime in the next ten years or so.

Surprise!

I purchased these shoes as a walking shoe. I prefer the support of hiking shoes vs gym shoes pounding the pavement running to the mall, grocery store, etc. Now a little about me. I stand 6'6" tall, a biscuit under 300 lbs, and I hike almost ever week in Arizona. Skechers is not a brand that would have showed up on my radar in REI. I wear a size 16 hiking shoe and needed something quickly after trashing there pairs of boots last month which started to break down on support. This shoe came up in my Amazon search. I am very surprised by the support, traction, and value of this hiking shoe. I got in three hikes with this shoe because I am having my Asolo boot recrafted. It will not replace my preference for hiking in a full grain $300 leather boot. However, I can't turn my nose up to this shoe because I like it!

The insole not being removable is an issue for a true hiker. Inside of shoe stays wet and takes a while to dry. Stitching on the inside of the shoe is very noticeable on your feet but seems to be getting better with use. Overall more of a mall shoe than a true hiking shoe. To soon to judge wear etrc

FITS GOOD & COMFORTABLE ON

My husband has a hard time finding shoes to fit, he wears a size 15 and he is also flat footed and has alot of feet problems because he has to stand for long periods of time with his job. He said these fit great and they are also very comfortable. They are easy to put on and they look good also.

One and a half years later - Extremely durable shell but not too comfortable

I bought these back in February of 2019 and it's now October of 2020. The fitbit I bought last summer tells me I have been over 500 miles - almost all in these shoes. The shell and sole are still mostly intact. They may even still be waterproof! That's the good part. The bad part is the comfort. When I first bought these, the stitching pressed down on the top of my feet just behind my toes at every step. The stitching problem disappeared, however, as the insole crushed down a bit. However, the insole and support are now pretty much non-existent and have been for some time. As a result, my feet hurt (balls and heels) pretty much every time I wear these for any length of time. Will try some new insoles but will have to dig the old ones out as they seem to be glued in.

Excellent product. Nice and tight at the toe but just a little loose at the heel. Bought a heel insert.

Great for wide/extra wide feet

I've had to buy and return a few sneakers to actually find one that is as wide as advertised. These have been great. Waterproofing, I've only taken them out once in the rain so far, but they worked fine.

Comfortable and waterproof.

Love that these shoes are waterproof. Got a great deal on them, very comfortable and yes, they really are waterproof! Watch for deals on these shoes, sometimes they price can range from 30 to 70 bucks. I recommend using a price watch tool so when they get discounted you can pick them up.

Nice quality, waterproof and warm.

Ordered a size larger so I can wear thermal socks or two pairs. Fit exactly how I planned. They were a bit stiff out of the box but became more flexible after a couple of days wear. Extremely waterproof, very warm and look to be very good build quality. Update - Got caught in a freezing cold torrential downpour, while walking quite a long way. These shoes kept my feet toasty warm and bone dry. I am so impressed with these and my love affair with Skechers continues, I have had their trainers and their normal shoes and these shoes and have not been disappointed yet.

great price, not comfortable

This item was priced right but the insole is very hard, very little cushioning. I put in some insoles but still didn't help the comfort. I have worn them so did not return but would have. Hopefully I can get used to them for camping, etc., definitely not for hiking!
