Laces too short, tongue too thick?
The laces that come with this shoe are too short... and they don't stay tied when laced. The eyelets are metal and slightly too small and at an angle to accommodate really tightening the stock laces. The heel doesn't really lock, and the collar doesn't really tighten above the ankle making the shoe feel loose. That said I had to replace the insoles with new ones. That's pretty much all the bad. I have wide feet, 10.5 EE shoes or wider. These are EE wide shoes without stretching. So if you're looking for boots that fit wide feet and don't mind spending a few bucks more on laces and an insole these are excellent shoes. The soles are well made, so far. They don't appear to be made of materials that will compress poorly over longer time periods. The tongue is thick, and attached to the bottom lace hook. It's almost too thick, but I hopefully think it will compress and relax over time and wear. The toe is solid but I wouldn't use these shoes for shop work, but probably excellent outdoors for general moving around.

Nice boot for the money
Purchase these for my son who is 17. He has a wide foot and they fit very nicely. I was concerned he would not like them as the brand is not keen or something similar. Teenagers can be worried about brand recognition. But to my surprise, he actually likes them. He says they’re light and they were comfortable right out of the box. we tried the other brands but they were very rigid and would take a bit of time to break in. I guess if you’re tied to a brand-name, you wear uncomfortable shoe, but thank goodness my son gave him a chance and put them on his feet and realize they were very comfortable. As far as holding up, time will tell. but the price point is so affordable I’d rather have his feet comfortable then buying another brand that’s twice the money and they hurt his feet. they were true to size, and like I said comfortable right out of the box.

better than i thought
boot is very comfortable for my wide feet I bought three pair of these because it's so hard to find comfortable boots for a decent price. boot prices are ridiculous now and most are cheap crap.

Great value
I've worn these on a construction site for 9 months now. 5+ days per week, 12 hours per day. I'm very impressed with how they've held up. No breakdown of seams or stitching or tread. I will absolutely be buying another pair.

Sketcher Quality
Bought these for my husband. He likes the ankle support and says they are sturdy for hiking. They appear like they will hold up well. We are going on a long hiking trip soon and if they don't meet expectations I will update the review. He said they were easy to break in, but a bit on the heavy side which is typical for hiking shoes.

I love sketchers and I loved these but I didn’t like that they messed up first time taking them into work the sole just came off from shoe. If it’s just regular wearing I recommend but don’t use for work

Lightweight, comfortable
I have only had these boots about three weeks and I used them for walking on snow and ice covered trails. I did use ice cleats, so I cannot comment on the normal grip qualities. I ordered a regular sized 10 and they fit perfectly. They are very light and offer good warmth while walking in -10 temperatures. So far so good.

Great boots
These boots are lightweight and waterproof with memory foam insoles. They are a really good midrange pair of boots. I have wide feet and they fit well at half a size up. If I was being really picky the top two eyelets are a bit small and it's a bit faffy to get the laces round them, but apart from that they've served me well, are really comfy and I've certainly put them through their paces!

Good boots
I use them to walk to work everyday. Comfy, warm and good winter traction. Don't fit as tight as my running Sketchers.
