Perfect activity and everyday shoe!
I've owned 10+ pairs of these. They are consistently well built and last for years. Easy to slip on but can be tightened for better support (for hiking). Worth every penny.

A few changes... and still one of the best!
I've been wearing Salomons for around four years now and they are still amazing. A few tweaks in this new revision: they done away with the inside loop/elastic band that was part of the Sensi fit, the tie cap isn't as big nor does it seem to be as thick as before and the tread pattern and material are different. I'll touch on those points a bit then give MY overall opinion of this new version of the shoe. About the inner elastic loop... I always liked it, but I know quite a few people who wear this exact same shoe and have never been fans... toes catch on it, feels like it right around your foot, etc. To me personally it provided a great bit of support in conjunction with the lacing system. With the toe cap, it just seems like they wanted to save a little weight and have the front of the shoe to be not as bulky. It still provides a great level of protection and does exactly what the old version did, it's just a bit smaller now. And lastly, the tread pattern and material. The new pattern is just slightly different, therefore it doesn't really affect the foot feel inside the shoe, a good thing if your foot is acclimated to the shoe type already. The new material does a remarkably better job on wet surfaces than the last iterations. My experience is with polished concrete and shop floors, so take that in mind. Overall I'm really pleased with the new product. Some reviews bring up the idea that they seem more narrow than the last, but I didn't seem to notice. Of course due to packaging, they come slightly molded inward, but just after a few times wearing them, they feel exactly like slipping into the past 4 pairs that I've owned.

I want to like them
Update: 5 stars to 2. Pretty bummed because I like these shoes and the quick lace system is awesome, but for some reason the top joints of my left foot are sore and achy now, not my plantar fascia tendon like you'd think if from the slightly high arches and it's only my left foot so maybe that shoe has a flaw that I can't really feel while wearing. Sore top of foot only started after wearing these shoes for a few weeks and I haven't done anything different at the gym or anywhere. Now if I wear my sandals or flip flops my foot really hurts during and afterwards. I usually wear New Balance shoes and have never had an issue, shouldn't have strayed from some of the best shoes in New Balance. If I wear any of my 3 pairs of New Balance my foot feels better. Something about the arch in these shoes that threw my foot way out of alignment. If you have longer feet (14) with narrow heels like I do beware. Usually a New Balance guy and first Salomon's I've owned, but seem to be really good quality shoes so far. I love the quick lace system they're so convenient. They do run a bit small so go a half size or full size up like I did, usually wear 13 and the 14 feels pretty good, heels are bit narrow and what I need. Also, they're not a high arch like some shoes, but not flat either seem to be just right for a mid arched foot. Tried 13 and my toes were right at the end, not cramped, but not good for trail use like intended.

Blisters!
I bought these shoes in anticipation of doing a 125 mile hike. Based on reviews, I thought these would work well for me. I'm a size 10, and they fit as well as any other hiking/running shoe I own. I routinely run 10-15 miles per week, and walk a ton, and I've never had any problems with blisters. I did a few practice hikes of 15 miles and started immediately feeling hot spots. I wore them every day for about a month, so I broke them in fairly well. On my hike, I was fine the first day, but after day 2, I had a blood blister on my right heel, and by the end of day 5 I had another blister on the bottom of my left foot sole. I understand I was walking far distances (20+ each day), but I've never had blister issues like this. I finished my hike, but these shoes were so bad that I threw them away in the hotel trash as I left after my final day of walking. Pro: Durable, good for mountain terrain, no slipping Con" BLISTERS! I wouldn't buy them again, but if you have, and you know your feet won't develop blisters, than they should be fine.

they were so comfortable that I ordered these from the website
These were the first pair of Salomon shoes I have worn extensively, I had a pair in tan but had only used them a couple of times before I bought these to use in Thailand. In the few times and in as little of a time as I used the tan pair, they were so comfortable that I ordered these from the website. I ordered this pair to use in Thailand and wanted a different color that could go with more outfits. I wore this pair through Thailand without a break in period. They arrived just in time, the day before I left in fact, for Thailand. They have been the best shoes I have ever worn. I wore them hard through jungles, mud, trees, urban areas, and without a break in period at all they were and still have been the best shoe I have worn. Always trust Salomon!

Last pair I'm buying from Amazon
After 5 years of buying these on Amazon, I'm giving up. The sizing has been wrong the last two times. It's much easier to go to a shop and try on sneakers to find a pair that fits. These Solomons were my favourite, but from Amazon they are sized too small which makes me wonder if they're knock-offs — I don't have the same problem when I try them on at Running Room. Buyer beware.

Come up small - but great all round trail shoes
Pros: Comfortable; look great; good grip; easy speed lacing. Quality trail shoes at a good price. Con: Definitely come up small (had to return the first pair I bought). I’m usually a UK9.5 (ASICS running shoes). A UK10 in these fit nicely for walking/scrambling but if I were to use these for running any sort of distance I’d likely need a UK10.5.

Excellent trainer
This is my third pair of trainers from this company. They were reduced to £90 as opposed to £159. I find them extremely comfortable to wear and like the fact they are sturdy and look good My only niggle is the inner orthotic padding comes loose over a period of time which if not repositioned make wear uncomfortable Overall I would recommend this trainer for the price
