Water fitness shoes for short people

This Ryka shoe gives me a much appreciated inch in height for the rigorous water fitness classes I attend, as well as a little weight to counteract my buoyancy. The price put me off at first, but for me, it's worth it. I ordered size 9, my typical street shoe size, but 8 ½ would have been better. The shoes look like running shoes, but they're well structured for the pool and don't get water-logged. Really good product for water workouts.

Light weight but supportive

Previously wore regular cross trainers for aqua classes, but this was a step up! The holes in the soles seemed to make me feel less of a drag when running or jogging in the pool. They dry quickly and are always ready for the next class if you pull out the insoles after use.

Excellent shoe for water aerobics or walking.

I loved the fit of these but they rubbed my poor old arthritic left foot so much I could not wear them.

Runs large

I've worn a size 5.5 for 60 years. These Ryka shoes run at least 1/2 size large, both in length and width. While fairly comfortable in the pool (I teach water fitness), the bottoms slip on the pool floor. Drainage is great. I kept them as the Velcro strap is adjustable and I can tighten quite well. But, it wouldn't be my first choice.

Not for narrow feet

Great idea so I won't worry about keeping laces tied. Ryka''s are perfect for my water aerobics classes. I have worn them for 10 years. However, these do not work for narrow feet. the velcro will not pull tight enough.

easy to get on

I liked that I could get these shoes on easily without much effort. The criss-cross straps made it easy.

Runs large!

I’ve worn a size 11 in all shoes for many years, even water shoes, but had to return these for a 10. Easy to put on- no laces to come untied!
