Worked on my floor!

I used this to fill some gaps in a floating hardwood floor. I had read reviews where it was good for that. Easy to use, the dark brown color perfectly matched my floor, and it sealed and quieted the floor. Time will tell if the adhesion and durability are acceptable.

Very easy for a barely-capable DIY guy

I am a CPA by trade, so DIY projects aren't my thing. I will try small things to avoid paying to get little things done, but I also know (at least I think I know) when to let professionals handle something. Well, I had an outside light that seeped water from the top into the light, where it caused the water to stay inside the glass and fog up pretty bad. Once I identified the issue, I figured it might be better to just seal the area than get a new light - even if it was under warranty or something, the time and possible further problems made a cheap fix preferable. I ordered this in Dark Brown to match the light. I was very impressed as to the texture and how well you can work with it - I have only bought caulk from Wal-Mart or Home Depot in the cheapest brand before, but because of my needs to match a color, I ordered this brand. Also, the other reviews are also very positive from people who at least claim to be in the know. This product just has a different feel that makes setting it and working with it somehow "easier" - not so tough that it globs up from the start, but not so runny that you can't work with it. And Amazon Prime got it to me the next day! I will use this brand from now on for even the smallest caulking jobs.

Great caulk

We put this in between some cracks in a front door and with the entent of letting the door expand and contract with weather. So far this is working good. The dark brown color also helps make it look more natural. I would recommend this product.

Caulk came out of canister when new, gummed up after a couple weeks

Subject says it all. Canister gummed up after a few weeks and when I used pressure with the caulk gun, the caulk started leaking out the back. Do not recommend.

Exactly what I needed, working great so far!

Sashco 10008 Big Stretch Caulk Dark Brown 10.5-ounce Used this to fill in some unfortunate gaps (up to 1/4") in some hardwood flooring. The gaps were there and they weren't going to properly fixed by re-laying all the flooring to eliminate them. I cleaned out the gaps, filled in about 85% with this caulk and let it cure for a week while being careful near it. In some cases I had to place weights to keep the boards from flexing during curing. Well, I've done the above process on 4 decent sized gaps so far and it seems to be working well. I had to use a flexible caulk to allow for stretching and contracting with the weather and this stuff seems great so far! Exactly what I needed. It will keep dirt and liquids from getting between the boards and loose dirt on top is easily vacuumed away. This stuff has solved my problem/ situation perfectly.

Took two days to dry

I have used caulk in the past, so i was surprised when i checked it the next day and it was still wet. I came back the day after than and it was dry to the touch.

Great stretchability.

I use this caulk on checks on my 12" dia. Cedar logs, my home is made of. This caulk has great elasticity, which is exactly what i need. The log checks expand & contract, opening & closing, with the heat of the Sun, or the cold of night. This caulk fills the checks & stretches to keep the checks sealed when the checks open, or close.
