Be warned this stuff is seriously hard
Ok so the title of this product is completely misleading. It is not soft and easy to use. It is in fact, extremely hard. Because it's so firm, if you have experience with clay it's fantastic. You can add some serious details and it holds super well but to get those details is really really difficult. The pro's and con's sort of balance out with this stuff so heres a little list. Pros: -Great for detail work, you can get really specific and work small without risking the overall quality of your piece -High quality clay, it's pretty great to work with if you know what you're doing -Lasts a very very long time, it's a small block but its kind of elastic so you can sort of manipulate it to make it look like more Cons: -Extremely firm, you're going to need copious amounts of baby oil to get this stuff workable -Crumbles easily, before the clay is softened it just sort of breaks into pieces and it's hard to smush back together -Slight smell -Really hard to connect pieces together Despite how much I really did not like this clay I did end up using the entire block so here's some tips I came across. START SMALL. The easiest way to make this stuff soft enough to use is to get little balls of it and douse it in baby oil. Then, after like an hour of kneading move onto the next ball and the next and the next. If you don't use your softened babyoil-clay within like two days it's going to firm up so don't soften too much at one time. As for joining the pieces together? I have no tips, never did I figure that out. I smooshed them together and it kind of worked but it looked pretty bad and needs some serious sanding.

too hard
it is too hard to use, and it does not dry out in the air or something but the material is too hard to bend

Hard to work with at the start
Like other reviews have mentioned, this is tough to work with at first. I eventually got a method down and it became much easier. Used it to make some stars for my wedding decor. Very light weight

Excellent for Detailed Pieces
It is an extra firm clay, much like Kato. So anticipate having to condition it more. But with that said, it is great for more detailed pieces. I just got it and this is my first time using it so I can’t speak for long-term quality but as of now, I like it and am happy with my purchase. My advice to anyone who is feeling disheartened by the firmness, use a couple drops of mineral oil to help. Work in very small batches. Don’t try to condition the whole block at once. Yes, it will take time but if you’re willing to put forth the extra effort you will be rewarded handsomely. If it is still too firm for your liking, don’t be afraid to mix some softer clay in with it. I find a 2:1 ratio of softer clay(i.e sculpey III) to a firmer clay such as this, gives a nice in between firmness but sometimes I do more firm than the soft. Experiment! But do keep in mind that you will have to adjust bake time accordingly.

Grip strength enhancer
Needs conditioning very hard clay but a great value and product when you work with it. Used a hairdryer on low with whatever amount of clay I was using at the time on wax paper and played with it for a good bit to get it workable.

Condition the crap out of the clay
my clay came bone dry and was very crumbly. I had to work the crap out of the clay for it to be usable but once I got it to a point of being able to use it, its great. but man my hands were sorry after words.

It’s not easy to use
I bought it as a tester for a quick project but it was not easy to roll together so I imagine for a bigger project it’s going to be very difficult. It had this weird bubbly effect after cooling from the oven. I don’t really recommend it but its cheap clay.

Nice stuff that does what it says
I'm basically a noob when it comes to this stuff, but for what I've used it for so far I have no real complaints. Yes, it's difficult to work at first and anyone who tries to soften the whole block at once with just their hands will have a TON of trouble. I've only worked with little pieces at a time though and for me it takes just a couple minutes before I can work it. Once it's been worked over once it's much easier to go back to than that first time, which is nice. I saw in a few reviews that this stuff has little/no scent when baking, and I can confirm this. What a nice perk! I can also confirm that leaving it in the oven for a few extra minutes seems to have no ill effects. It is just a little soft when it's first removed, but it seems to harden up the rest of the way as it cools. The only trickly part with this stuff is that while working it, it seems to have a bit of "memory" to it when it starts to cool from when you first soften it up, almost like a rubbery sort of texture. But generally, at least for my purposes, it seems to work pretty well. Thanks!

Value for price
Pro: it's not greasy, dries nicely, holds shape well for long durations if you set aside your project and come back to it a year later it's still good. Large block (1lb) I can make several characters. (With filler insides) Cons: it is crumbly. I have bought 4(?) Blocks now and they are tough to work (I use hands-not sure pasta machine would work, roller would). Best to work small chunks at a time into sheets and layer over, at least for my use. I haven't tried many other brands but sculpey 3 was too soft for me, easy to damage and collected hair too easily.

Should have listened to reviews
The media could not be loaded. It’s very, very, very, hard. I had to add liquid sculpey to make it work but that also made it sticky, and still pretty hard. Haven’t baked it yet so idk the finished quality. Not impressed with the quality of this. This stuff is either made poorly or is sitting in a warehouse for years upon years.

Something is wrong with this clay, it will not condition properly.
Used this exact brand and type of clay in the past and something is wrong or they changed something with the new batches. Ordered two. Both behaved very differently. One would not condition at all. No matter what was tried, how long it was tried, would not condition. It either suffered partial curing during transport or some type of extended duration with higher than normal temperatures somewhere. The other also did not behave normally. Very brittle, crumbled easily, no real pliability at all. Its not what this is supposed to be like at all.

Easy to use
I found it easy to mould some people say it's hard I didn't find that. I made my figure in several bakes and it didn't burn. It is kinda like hard rubber when it is baked witch is fine for what I'm using it for.

Beautiful color
A bit dry but work it people and it will soften up. I cooked it longer as i used two kinds of clay. It came out way darker then the original color but was stunning i think this way. Going to try and cook by the directions to see if it comes out lighter. All in all i was impressed no matter what. No bend in the earrings and easy to drill threw.
