FYI the new bottoms are apparently NOT fake
So, after purchasing and receiving my sandals I too noticed a difference in the bottom of the sandal (no more blue and red inserts) and the Spenco name was no longer imprinted on the footbed. I saw all of the negative comments addressing the same issue, saying they were fake. So, to clarify I called Spenco headquarters to see what was what. The rep told me that they did indeed switch the bottom of the Yumi sandals, moving away from the classic red and blue inserts to solid black and/or gray. Also, the imprint of their name was apparently giving people issues (weird, I know) so they removed that as well. She assured me that it is of the same quality, regardless of the new look and manufacturing. Hopefully this eases people's minds that they are in fact actual Spenco sandals. These may not be authentic Spencos
I initially read reviews questioning the authenticity of these sandals. I ordered them anyway since there were several other positive reviews. I received them today and I am also questioning the authenticity. Real Spencos have red and blue on the bottom. As well as a stamp in the foot bed. I looked on the spenco website to compare them to what I received and those things are missing from this pair as you can see in my photos. It doesn’t mean these aren’t a good shoe. I purchase them as a gift so if the receiver wants to keep them we will, otherwise I will send them back and then order directly from the Spenco website to ensure that we have authentic spenco’s

Love these Spenco Yumi sandals
I've been pleased with the women's Yumi sandals for several years now and have them in an assortment of colors, but I've now found them to be the perfect and repeated birthday gift for my son-in-law who also appreciates the supportive sole and comfortable fit. We're both big fans!

Spenco Is The Best
There is nothing better than these flip flops. I have been wearing them for years and can't find another brand that has the fit / finish / comfort that these do. Can't say enough about them. To wear them is to understand.

Good fit, decently comfortable
Not as much cushion as previously owned Helly Hanson flips but the arch makes a big difference in stride comfort overall. Surface of the flip seems better suited towards water than the HHs.

Most Comfortable by Far!
I’m 55 years old and have a lot of foot pain attributed to being on my feet in law enforcement over the past 30 years. It has made wearing sandals for any extended period tough. These are by far the most comfortable sandals I have ever worn and they look great too. I can wear them for hours while being on my feet without it bothering me unlike the many others I’ve tried over the years.

I like them
I have been suffering from plants fasciitis and in chatting with a friend, she recommend these. She too is a silent sufferer of the same. Im happy to say I was able to wear them all day and not be in total agony. I had discomfort don't misunderstand But I was pleasantly surprised at the end of the day.

Great for planters fasciitis!
My husband is suffering with plantar fasciitis so I ordered him these sandals. They have great arch support and are very comfortable for him. He’s not one that likes flip-flops, but he does like these. Spenco seems to be very well-made and very comfortable.
