Great for travel, don’t love the Velcro

We all know what a pain it is to pack a hat, and this roll up hat solves that problem. It’s super compact and easy to pack. I love that. The thing I didn’t love was the Velcro closure, for two reasons. First was fit, and second was look. I guess my head is maybe larger than other peoples’ heads? I’m not sure but to get this to feel secure around my head instead of kind of sitting on top, I had to expand it and then the velcro is partially exposed. I don’t really know how to explain that except the two pieces weren’t fully overlapped. So then there was exposed velcro and it got stuck in my hair. And then there’s also an ugly gap between the straw parts with velcro in the middle. I don’t want to find another one so I’m keeping this one but that was annoying. So maybe if you have a larger head, be aware of the velcro issue.

Perfect

I liked how easily it rolled up in my carry on bag, and looked perfect every time I wore it . A great travel hat, I’m going to by other colors!

Great for traveling

Hat was super easy to pack and light weight. It is adjustable but the velcro will snare your hair a tiny bit. Covers a decent amount of area (definitely my whole face) but not the shoulders. If you wear at an angle then will cover the back of your neck. My multi color one bled a bit when it touched water but not super noticeable. Overall a good product.

It needed some modification..

It needed some modification after some trials in wearing. First of all, I roll it up in a manner of fashion and shove it in my purse without undoing the velcro as getting it all set up again is a pain although it is not so compact in doing this. I realize it might not hold its shape eventually doing that too. Secondly, I have a M size head of 22 inches(7 1/8) and found I had to have the hat at a lower level to stay on and feel secure. The problem there is poor visibility which I thought I solved by turning up the front brim of the hat a little. When I was nearly hit by a fast moving car in an intersection crossing a 4 lane road in my busy southern California city because I did not have good lateral vision, I discovered I could turn up the brim a little all around not just in the front and so the hat did not sit too low down no matter what I did and cause the same problem, I now wear a head band with it so I can wear it higher up on my head and it won't get loose and blow off then. I put the headband on and then the hat in usual fashion. I almost sent the hat back when I was almost hit at that intersection but will try again with these modifications. I realize the head band addition does not look great with my haircut but that is only when I take the hat off. It is better than being road kill.

Love these hats for travel

I have multiple San Diego Hat co hats and theyre just great! These rollup hats are great for travel as they don't take up a ton of space and they're so easy to pack and I don't have to worry about them getting smashed and deformed.

Beautifully made hat for sun protection without being too hot.

This hat folds up so it’s packable. It is made with good materials and is solidly sewn. It allows me to enjoy the beach or a walk without worrying about sun on my face. I recommend the company. They have a great selection of colors too

I never knew this type of visor/hat existed, but once I saw it, I knew I had to have it. I'm 27 and I take sun protection seriously. I use a variety of products which make my skin extra sensitive to the sun (like tretinoin). Additionally, I am very pale and want to avoid sun damage. The fact that this hat rolls up is invaluable to me. I like to walk to the stores and wanted protection while I am out on sunny days. I was hesitant to buy a sun hat because I couldn't imagine lugging it around in the store with me. This visor/hat is the perfect solution. I can stuff it into my purse or keep it in my car for impromptu picnics or walks in the park. THIS HAT IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR SUNSCREEN. Yes, it is rated UPF 50+ (it came with a tag that said so), but UV rays can reflect off of surfaces and hit your face. It creates a bit of shade and helps you avoid direct sun. It's not too big or too small; it creates just the right amount of shade. The tag states it is 75% paper and 25% polyester. I compared it to other brands of visor hats in stores and I think this is well worth paying a few dollars extra for. It is a pliable material that holds its shape. Other, cheaper hats seemed floppier and less nice looking. This hat looks pretty good; I don't feel embarrassed to wear it, anyway. From the front, it looks more like a hat, but from the back and sides it has more of a visor look to it. Honestly, if you want to look cute, you might want to buy a full hat. But because this is packable, I still think it's a great investment. The velcro strap lets you wear it as tightly as you want it, for any sized head.

〰 Practical 〰 Stylish 〰 A Must for Summer 〰

The media could not be loaded. I bought this braided visor to protect my face from the sun when I play outside with my toddler. The visor, when folded, is very compact and it stays secured with an elastic band. To wear it, you just need to remove the elastic, unroll the hat and adjust the velcro for your desired fit. It is widely adjustable for small heads or big heads with a velcro band that is hidden at the back. The brim is sturdy, yet flexible. Because of nylon wiring on the inside, it is very durable and it manages to keep its shape even after it has been rolled and stored for a while. Of course, if it gets dirty, machine washing is NOT recommended. You just need to spot clean the area with a damp cloth and let it air dry. It easily fits in my purse, in my car door compartment or even in my car's glove box. It is practical, comfortable to wear, and it is the perfect solution for me since I often wear my hair in a top knot or a high ponytail. And because it is a visor, I don't end up with dreaded flat ''hat hair''. Combined with sunscreen, it adds a great protection for my face. It is noteworthy to mention though, that the brim of this hat might not be large enough to protect the entire neck area. Because of the design, the back of the hat doesn't protect as much as the front does, so sunscreen should still be applied on the entire neck area to prevent any sun damage. Great purchase. Smart investment

Really glad I finally got one of these. A definite must for anyone with curly hair or a lot of hair. I love that it gives UV protection, is adjustable and rolls up to fit in your bag. Love, love, love! Brilliant investment.

Perfect for when wearing a top bun

Very lightweight and provides enough shade on the face. I always wear a top bun to keep my hair out of my face and neck, so can't wear a hat. This is perfect, fits comfortably, and rolls up pretty small for traveling. After a year of use, it is still holding up great. I just recently bought a 2nd one when I forgot it on a trip because I love it so much.

it's a cute visor and rolls up really small - perfect for travelling. Quality is very good and it doesn't stay wrinkled even after being rolled. However, when you put the visor on, it closes with velcro and I find that gets caught on my hair.

Wonderful! Absolutely nothing bad to say about this, I expected very little and it was perfect for what I needed! Most hats like this are a cheap straw material but this one is so much better quality. It’s perfect for packing in your bag, holds it’s shape when wearing it, is completely adjustable, and it looks amazing. If your looking for a hat like this you won’t be disappointed here. I’ve had mine for a year and it’s still like new. Get one!
