Nice shoe that lasted less than a year
I've owned a lot of Salomon shoes. And Lowa's, Montrail (pre-Columbia), Adidas Outdoor, Merrell etc. these I got as an "everyday" wear – I live in Colorado so I prefer a goretex or waterproof shoe even in summer, as you never know when you'll be going through puddles, rain, etc. and I do a fair amount of walking and hiking on loose trail. Fit wise, they were just a hair tight, if my "measured" proper fit is 9.5 that's a 10.5 in Nikes or gym shoes, and standardly a 10 if I want to allow a little bit of foot swell as I hike. These in a 10 fit right and just a hair tight, so I'd go half size up from what you'd measure at if you'll be hiking in them – 9.5 was too small. Wear wise is where this shoe suffered. It lasted me 9 months before the bottoms were flat under my heel and toe box where it hits the most wear. I'd say fit wise, loved them very comfortable and supportive and for a "low" they weren't "too low" like a lot of the newer shoe style hikers. I returned the XA Pro, Pathfinder Mid, and Outbound Prism's for this reason, your foot doesn't get enough support in those below the ankle IMO. The tread on this, like most Salomon, are first class when it's new, but all their new soles tend to wear so fast. These were super comfortable for sub 7mi hikes without a pack, and daily casual wear, and all the seams and upper area held very well and did well for light water/snow - I really wish these gave me a couple years and I'd buy a second pair in a heartbeat, this color and the olive are a great look, but I've replaced them with X Crest GTX's hoping those soles last longer. The X Crest isn't as casual looking but seems more burley but time will tell. 10 years ago, the Quest GTX had rugged long lasting soles, Salomon please get back on it.

Waterproof = yes; Breathable = no
The good: These shoes kept my feet dry in light rain, heavy rain, puddles, tall wet grass, and any water less than 2" deep. I have no complaints about the waterproofing. Great for muddy hiking, but they're low-top so there is no ankle support of course. The fit and support was great for city walking. We walked trails & streets & cobblestones 20 km per day for a month with no blisters or pinch points. The laces stay tight. I like the look. The bad: My feet were warm and sweaty in 60 degrees weather. They were somewhat uncomfortably warm when the air got above 75 degrees. After three weeks of daily wear I suddenly realized the shoes smelled so rank. I should have aired out the insoles during those three weeks. I washed the stink out of the insoles (they dry over night, no problem), but the stink in the shoe was harder to deal with while traveling. For the 9-hour flight home I stowed them in a garbage bag and brought a fresh pair of socks! Overall: A success. I wanted to take ONE PAIR of shoes on a trip to Europe: trail-to-town-to-airplane; rainy, muddy Faroes to hot-cobbled Amsterdam. These shoes did the job and allowed me to pack light, even if I was overly hot on many days. Now that I am back home, they will be a good winter walking shoe.

Great shoe but narrow
The downfall of ordering shoes online is that you can't try them on beforehand. I normally wear a size 11, which is what I ordered. The length is right, but the toe box is on the tight side. I didn't see anything saying this is a narrow shoe, and wonder if that's just how Salomons are typically cut (this is my first pair). I've worn the shoes a few days, and keep going back and forth on whether I should keep them or return them and order size 11.5. Between the hassle and the fact that I've worn them now, I've decided to keep them. I'll never know if I should have swapped them for the larger size. There should be a note in the description that these shoes run narrow.

Dirty Shoes? Shame on you Amazon.
These shoes arrived with stains on the left upper. I paid for new shoes and got someone's returned used. Too bad for me they are now out of stock. Lucky for Amazon, I need them this weekend. No time to return them. They fit a little small but, that should workout. Overall nice shoes. The real test will be to see how long they last. I will be using them for light to medium hiking and outings. I just wish I had gotten new ones instead of Dirty Shoes.

Little narrow and came used
These shoes had been worn by someone. Not a test fit, don’t like and return. The insoles show clear wear (words rubbed off). I think someone probably wore them a week or more then returned them. So far the shoe is very light and narrow. I have only walked my living room with them right now, but they feel very narrow. I don’t usually buy wide shoes. Maybe for hiking this will work well as less side to side means less fatigue? Not sure.

Great for Narrow Feet
Awesome shoes. They do seem to be wearing down quicker than I’d like, but otherwise great. All the reviews saying they’re very narrow are correct. As someone with narrower than average feet, they’re perfect for me.

Good looking, light weight and good price.
I like everything except they are a little narrow.

very comfortable , fits like a glove with no hot spots
very comfortable out of the box, not enough cushion for my underfoot, I added better running insole, additional cushion and arch support made it 5 star product..... time will tell as to the durability

Fits small
Had to return it because the fit was half to a full size too small. Otherwise, looked like a good quality sneaker.

Disappointed
Had them a couple of months and already coming apart

Great shoe, not great for wide feet.
Bought these for hubs, he loved them for light weight, build and quality but - we had to send them back as they were just too narrow for his feet. Rest assured, so long as your feet are not like his flippers, I think these will be fine and they are indeed true to size!

Great fit, warm and comfortable
These Salomon shoes have become my choice of shoe for everything - stylish, comfortable. Good in the wet, on the trail and in the community. Warm in the winter even with a little snow. Only downgrade would be the laces, the pull lace fastening on my old Salomons were much better - but both pairs are an excellent fit/choice

Light and supportive but a little tight
I love Salomon shoes and boots, usually fit is perfect but these appear a little narrower than others I have. As always well made
