Do Not Purchase
The bottom seam on every other bag in the role is not sealed, making the item a plastic tube, not a bag. Huge waste of plastic due to poor manufacturing. Bad impact on environment, this company is a sham.

The best recycled plastic garbage bags out there
The true test of a good garbage bag is its ability To stretch over a garbage can. I’ve used hundreds of these over the years and never had one break. If it’s a garbage bag that you are going to throw away, it might as well be recycled. Great product.

Have Used These For Years...
I used to buy these online from a different company. Boxes of 50 bags. We prefer the bags with the drawstring. But - that company stopped offering these bags. I searched and found the best price on Amazon. Sure - I bought LOTS -- but the per bag price was the best and they'll last me for a very long time. We normally use just one bag per week.

Defective
More than half of these ripped open at the bottom. Couldn't even use them. The seventh generation with the drawstring is much better.

good medium weight bag
I've been using the Seventh Gen. Garbage bags for about a year. They are very comparable to the "store" brand or generic garbage bags that you can get at Target. They are not going to hold super large amounts or be able to be completely packed full of heavy trash, but for everyday kitchen waste they work just fine. I have not had a problem with them leaking in my kitchen garbage can. They are pretty inexpensive if you subscribe and save to them. I would rec'd them if you are trying to help the environment a little and promote green products. They are not 100% made from recycled materials or compostable, but I think the company is trying to make a good product as green as they can.

Basic recyclable kitchen bag
These are great if you're looking for something basic with a conscience. I'm having trouble finding anything with stretch like a Glad Bag/flex would have. This would get 5 stars if I could get something stretchier.

Great trash bags
We try to get products that are as eco-friendly as possible, whenever we can. As a family of four, we typically have to change our 13-gallon kitchen trash can at least once a day. So with the store-brand regular trash bags, that meant we were feeling pretty guilty. So we decided to give the Seventh Generation bags a shot and took advantage of subscribe and save as well. We are very happy with these bags. They hold up pretty much as well as any other bags, at least those not specifically designed to stretch to their limits without breaking. If you put these bags through a rigorous test, you'll see they'll fail at a certain point just like any other bag, but for regular everyday use, they're very good. And if you can get them through subscribe and save, it's even better because you can stock up and save money all while you feel a little less terrible about the throwing out the things you can't recycle.

Recycled Goodness
Seventh Generation Trash Bags, 30 Gallon / B000C7QZC8 I love these bags. They aren't as strong as the Hefty bags I switched from, but I don't feel as guilty on trash day - I'd rather use recycled plastic bags than regular ones. I use these in my big garage trash can and, really, they aren't THAT flimsy - I don't want to make them sound like anything more than a tissue will tear it. They can handle regular weekly loads, you just can't drag them over broken glass on the way to the curb - usually I will dump all my house trash into the garage trash can, carry the can to the curb, and only then knot the trash bag, pull it out, and lay it gently down for pickup. As always, I had no problems with Amazon packing and shipping - they seem to have it down to an art now. ~ Ana Mardoll
