Worked as expected
The media could not be loaded. Seems to be very mixed reviews on this product. So I thought I would post the process I used given my positive result. These are doors in my garage cabinets and I wanted to use them for build drawings. I first cleaned the doors with krud Kutter. A quick wipe down is all I needed just to take any contamination off. I then applied a single coat of white acrylic primer. I felt the existing finish was too glossy so wanted to ensure good adhesion. That primer dried overnight so it would be completely cured. Yes the cans are half full. That is because they made it convenient to mix since you pour the activator into the base. That way you do not need another container! I love it when these things are thought out. So open each can and stir each can separately. Then pour the small can into the big can. And stir for two minutes. Remembering I only have one hour to get it done. This stuff is thick, but it rolled on just fine. I was generous with the coating and did not experience any problems. I waited 15 minutes and then applied a second coat. It won't do any good if you apply the second coat after the first one dries. Some other review mentioned they did that. After second coat I let it cure for three days. In my video I am using expo fine dry erase markers. You can see it wipes right off. I am using a simple lint free rag. Now I know I am wiping it off right after writing on it and that often it's different when the writing is left on for a while. If I experience bad ghosting from that I will update the review. I generally like rustoleum products. I believe there is food R&D that goes into their products so I was expecting a good result. But again if anything changes I will update my review.

It works
I did check to make sure this was a current batch ( other reviewers explained how but you could call the manufacturer to confirm). I ended up putting on 4 thin coats on a 54 sq ft wall. I bought two packs. I got two good coats from each. I used a high density foam roller, like the kind you use to paint cabinet doors. I did try one coat with a standard foam roller, but it put too much product on and I had some runs to deal with. Stick with the cabinet rollers. I did two coats with the first batch in day one. Waited a day and lightly sanded and cleaned before coats 3 and 4. Note it will be tacky after the first coat when you apply the second. And it will take 6-8 hours to be touchable without being tacky. While it's tacky, it will attract dust so be careful if moving drop cloths, vacuuming, etc. some how I got some light dust specks on part of the wall which may have been from moving a drop cloth around. So how does it work? Black dry erase works perfect. Some colors may be harder to remove. Stick with standard dry erase markers. No low order or highlighters. They seem to be harder to remove. I was able to get them off completely though with dry erase cleaner. Use isopropyl alcohol or dry erase cleaner (they are the same) to remove any shadowing. Do not use windex. I suspect in time it will damage the surface. I also noticed after a few extra days it was easier to remove the marker. Again, black works great. Colors, you mileage may vary. Strong odor passes after about an hour. I didn't think it was bad but my complained a little. I'm happy with it so far. Great price. Just don't expect it to be the greatest whiteboard ever. All whiteboards work less well over time. Keep in mind you are painting over drywall. a wall with some texture. It makes using erasers harder to use. I just use a paper towel to get rid of most of the marker and spray what is left.

Not bad.
It works and is affordable. Dry erase markers may stain it and it is almost impossible to make it look perfectly clean.

Speedy delivery
It was easy to paint on and the directions painting and for time "curing" were perfect. By painting I saved hundreds of dollars by DIY.

Awesome product but doesn’t spread very far
7 months later - After using the stuff for a little bit over a half of a year, I have to say I absolutely love it. As far as the product goes, it does very well. After heavy use, it does stain a little bit so maybe it’s worth refreshing every couple of years. However, it does act exactly like a whiteboard. The only recommendation I would have is to be generous with application. You want it nice and thick so you don’t end up with regular paint showing through because that will definitely stain. The only reason I gave it a four instead of a five is that it doesn’t go very far. In my personal experience, two kits were necessary to cover about 30 sqft. The foam rollers absorb a lot and maybe I didn’t get a hard enough roller (Make sure you absolutely get the roller they recommend) but there’s no way I could see the small amount they give you covering 55 sqft like they promise. If you’re contemplating transforming a wall into a whiteboard, go for it. It makes productivity and organization of thought so much easier.

READ THIS BEFORE U BUY!
This is a good product but it does not cover the amount it states 7 x 7ft. Well not very well at least. It will be a super thin coat and the quart is actually only a 3rd full. Kind of a ripe off there. At best u are going to get a solid 5 by 5 area. Meaning u put up a coat, let it dry for 24 hours, (wrap ur roller and pan in plastic to prevent drying) and then u add a second coat. I advise getting two of these. One just isnt enough and the coat is really thin. I used 2 cans to set up a 8ft by 8ft area. What you first want to do is really take your time to sand the wall smooth. Use a super fine sand paper. Ideally you would put two coats of white semi gloss or high gloss paint on the wall first. Flat paint will just absorb this and really not give u a solid coat. When u use the markers and try to wipe away, little parts of the ink of the marker will get into every part of the wall so sanding using a super fine paper will help prevent that. Also coating the wall in a solid two coats of semi gloss will prevent this paint from getting absorbed. So really set aside at least a day or two for proper prep.

Good but Use with caution
Good one but soon after mixing it, the 2nd coat needs to be quickly painted else the solution becomes thick...this caution is not notified anywhere on the product....

Great product, worked as expected.
Excellent! I applied 2 coats and let it cure for 5 days (minimum 3 days recommended). End finish is similar to porcelain whiteboard. Both "Bic magic marker" and "Expo" markers work great and won't leave permanent marks, even after a few days. Very easy to erase (when using Bic and expo markers) as well. Just be aware that the total coverage stated on the box is for a single coat and I would not use this product with less than 2 coats. I placed 2 different orders for this product and received both packages the day after ordering. It's been shipped from "Hoerr Racing Products". Those guys are fast (pun intended...). Roaming.

DONT BUY
I followed all instructions, even bought a new kit cause one I had before had massive chunks in it and couldn't mix it. New kit was a pain to mix, and then applied as instructed. 2 coats. Like others, I can report that it basically turns my dry erase markers into permanent markers. HORRIBLE product experience and the fact that half the reviews are 1 star with similar complaints should say something about the product and NOT about whether or not people can read. For those where it worked well, I applaud your ability to read, but seems it's batch dependant. Wall is now ruined... Thanks Rustoleum.
