Well built wheel with bearings - does NOT fit Craftsman
First off, my impressions of the wheel - it is very well built. It is much heavier than my old plastic wheel. I think a lot of that is due to the rubber tire. The tire is molded rubber. There is no way to add air - its just stiff enough to hold the lawn mower. You can remove the tire from the wheel (more on that later) but its hard to get back on. Lay the tire out in the sun to warm it up and then you can pull it back onto the wheel. The bearings look like they will hold up. They were a little hard to spin so I sprayed some silicone in them before installing the wheel. Use silicone since it dries and won't collect dirt like oils will. Now on to my usage - I tried buying this one to replace a broken wheel on my craftsman lawn mower. Both wheels are supposed to be 12" but this one is slightly bigger (I think because the old wheel was worn down to less than 12") Due to measurement errors (I won't mention that I had to call my wife to check the hub size) I thought this would fit on my craftsman lawn mower. (I know, its not designed to fit the craftsman) I bought this one since it has 2 metal bearings (the craftsman version is just plastic) and its about 8 bucks cheaper than the craftsman wheel. Turns out that the hub is too long so it wouldn't fit. But with some modification I made it fit. I popped out the bearings first. Then on the "open side" I cut the hub down to the spokes. On the "closed side" I cut off the 1/8" lip next to the bearing. The center hole is straight so it was easy enough to push the bearings back in. Keep in mind, I did this on a lathe... which is why I had to remove the tire from the wheel. It was too big to fit on my lathe otherwise. But you could do it with other cutting tools if you are careful. Time will tell how it holds up... but since I heavily modified the wheel I won't rate it bad if it fails. This turned out to be a long review. I mainly wanted to say that its a nice wheel but it won't fit the Craftsman mowers.

Back In Business
I have about 1/2 acre of lawn to mow and own a self propelled push lawn mower (LM). The LM is nothing too fancy, but it works for me. I mow my lawn myself, mostly for the exercise and pride and joy of keeping my property up to specs myself as opposed to paying some to do it. The back wheels (or at least one of them) had been in disrepair since the end of the summer of 2012. This year as the mowing season approached, I started to put the LM in a local repair shop and have them order the wheels, tune up my LM., sharpen the blades, etc., but I said what the heck...let's go for it myself, i.e., at least on the wheels. So I searched the internet for a deal and found myself arriving at Amazon.com. Nice! Initially, being a novice at procuring such items online, there was some trepidation because I wasn't not sure that I would be getting my money's worth, but I could not have been more wrong. Once they arrived, I was impressed at the quality and workmanship. I was so eager to receive them, that I asked for a quick ship and it felt like Christmas when they arrived. I anxiously put them on and mowed the grass the same day. The wheels worked perfectly. However, I probably should have purchased the 14 inch versions in order to achieve a higher elevation setting on my lawnmower...but know that I am very satisfied. I may spring for the 14 inchers later down the road, now that I know a more about the process, (size and value)....but its cool daddy! Thanks Amazon.com!

Fits perfectly, and works.
Perfect fit to Poulan mower deck, it pushes much better now. Give it a year before I rate durability LOL

"You can get two wheels for the price of an OEM wheel".
Bought this two wheels as rear replacements for my Troy Bilt # 12AV566N711 (2005 year) self propelled, walk behind lawn mower with B & S engine. The wheels have an 1/2" I.D. axle and fit my mower's axle length just about right. I say just about right, cause you might want to put a 1/2" washer or more depending on the thickness of the washer. I am using the wheels without any washer right now, but I plan on going over to Orchard Supply & Hardware where I've seen the oversized washers, but I am not sure if they are 1/2" hole. You can ask the clerk or take a 1/2" bolt and see if it fits. If not, if you have the means, take them home, put them in a vise and drill out to half and inch. The wheel has an inside and outside mounting installation. The exposed hub goes towards the inside and the enclosed hub as shown in the picture goes out. This should fit all other T/B mowers that use 12" rear wheels. I believe the axle width is 2 3/8" ,but check your mowers axle width. This wheels come with ball bearings which is a big difference compared to the OEM plastic axles that wore out and broke. Each wheel is only $19.28 prime compared to $39.00 OEM.

Durable better than original
Well built. Exact fit for my 2 wheel Subaru pressure cleaner. Just needed to MacGyver a way to secure it on the axle since the old one had a pressed on fitting.

quality is important
wheels run smooth and seem to be well made. They were used on a different model of lawnmower so a small shaft revision was necessary
