Perfect addition to my Jeep

These D-rings were easy to install. My new bumper came with silver ones and that didn’t match the theme of my Jeep. These one are a near perfect match to my other pink accessories on my Jeep. They’ve been through tough rains, high speeds, and dirt roads and have been great! Definitely recommend

Seems like a good value; sure seems rugged enough

I got a pair of the 9500 # shackles. They are silver (zinc coated) with a red pin. I didn't want the black because I thought it might be too hard to see. I would have got high viz yellow if they had them, but those are quite a bit more expensive from a different manufacturer. I'm sure these will be fine for the hopefully rare occasion I need them. I've never owned shackles before so don't have anything to compare with; I bought these because they seemed to be the best value out there. Now that I have them in hand, I'm pleased with them. The reason I'm writing this review is because there is a lot of confusion about shackle 'sizes'. The standard for 10,000 lb shackles seems to be 3/4" and that's the size mentioned in the description. I thought the 3/4" referred to the pin diameter, but it doesn't - it refers to the shackle diameter at the bow. The pin diameter is 7/8". The distance between the 'flats' where the pin goes is 1-1/4". The inside dimension of the bow itself is about 1-7/8". I hope that's a help to anyone who needs to know these dimensions - too bad the manufacturer doesn't think to provide this info.

UPDATE: Amazing support. 5/5

UPDATE (10/18/16): Used these for a recovery over the weekend when a guy's JKU got stuck on a boulder. Even being rusty, they performed to spec. Afterwards, I contacted Rugged Ridge to ask about the rust. They said they had a bad batch an sent me out a new pair with no questions asked. Great support, great guys. Original: Haven't actually used them for pulling yet, but they're already showing signs of rust. Straight out of the box, the areas where the powdercoat wasn't thick (e.g. the thread, the hole in the bolt) rust has already started to set in. Not sure if I got returns or what, but not hopeful for these. Also, they are a super gloss black -- I was hoping for more of a textured black, but that isn't the d-ring's fault.

The media could not be loaded. Threads are bad. It won’t tighten up and I can pull it straight out without unscrewing.

These are exactly what I needed to use with all my other straps to recover cars from winter snow issues.It is funny when the only way that you can give them a poor rating/review is because the "paint didn't last" well get them out of the bed of your truck, or stop storing them with your rusty logging chains. If you are mad that the pin isn't 3/4" like the rest of it, you will be happy to have them when the hole is right at 3/4 inch and you are wearing cloves. You can't eve find a pair of these in this size for this price anywhere else! I used mine on the snatch block in the attached picture..

Nice, heavy and rugged

Nice, heavy and rugged. However, the pin is maybe 7/8" before it was coated and bare metal. With the coating they have on there, it's more than 7/8" that's for sure, closer to 1" I'd say. Overall, I recommend!

Not great

These arrived today and they look like they have been on the back of someones vehicle driving around... Very chipped up/missing paint. Not impressed at all.
