Provided screws don't fit into tapped holes

The installation instructions say to use the "machine screws" provided, but the provided screws are actually wood screws, with a thread pitch that does not match the tapped holes machined into the unit. I can either force the screws into the holes, which will mash the tapped holes in the unit, or buy machine bolts, which will not have the finish matching the unit. I have seen the same problem noted in a previous review, so this is not the first time someone has commented on this. Why can't the manufacturer simply provide the hardware that is described in the instructions?

A must!

I used this clamp with a recessed Delta toilet paper holder. The installation would have been terrible without it. The clamp makes life considerably easier. If you are using it for the toiler paper holder, put the screws through both the hold and clamp a little before you wiggle the clamp into the wall. It's really easy screw in once that it done.

Worked great

Loved the look of the recessed toilet paper holders. Easy to install uf you take your time, have some basic skills, measure, cut carefully and can wield a screw driver. Used the spring holder, sold separately to make the install really easy.

Works well but had to buy machine screws

Works as advertised. Only thing, had to buy some machine flat head screws as there were not provided. There were screws provided but I think they may be for... umm not this.

Must -buy to go with the paper holder

It was really easy to install the holder with this bracket. I'm giving 4 stars because I don't understand why the bracket is purchased separately. It adds another couple $$ to the project...

Wrong Screws

As with numerous previous reviewers, the one I received was packaged with three sets of wood/sheet metal screws (2 chrome, 2 brass, and 2 white). The holes in the bracket are tapped for M4-0.7mm machine screws. I needed the bracket, so I had to order with the expectation of getting the wrong screws. This is the same part as the Franklin Brass 600R bracket. Delta doesn't make this stuff, they contract it out to the same folks that make the other brands of recessed toilet paper holders. The instruction sheet even has a blank line for the model number, instructing you to write in the number from the package, because each brand labels with their own part number. With all the negative reviews on both of these for the screw issue, you'd think they'd have it fixed by now.
