Awesome

This has a metal roll bar too! It's a tank! It looks very nice. It is so easy to clean of course. I love the extra detail of the beveled edge. It was a major upgrade that had more impact than anticipated on the overall look. Excellent quality and worth the extra over similar items.

Holds Mega Rolls Fine, sticks out more

Standard depth and shape on the recessed part fits old wall opening, but longer arms allow mega rolls and stick out further from wall. Rolls drag on dispense at first since they rest on the lower frame, but work fine once some of roll is used. Center bar required adjusting as it was sprung apart upon receipt.

Great looking TP holder, fits mega rolls, 2 minor issues.

Very nice TP holder, fits mega sized rolls. However, 2 issues. The first is that it arrived without the mounting screws. Normally wouldn't care but with the brushed nickel finish I wanted the matching finish on the screws so I'm not sure if this was just left out but plan accordingly. Second, the spring loaded bar does stay connected as one piece but it actually decompresses too far making it slightly more inconvenient to re-compress when you put it back in. It keeps catching on the lip of where the two pieces slide into each other. My older designed bar decompressed but stayed as one piece without the gap in between, making it much easier to reinsert. Again, minor issues.

Installation is easier than you think

I read many of the reviews before I bought this tp holder and it's coordinating recess unit, thinking that installation may be tricky but my handy husband and I could handle it. Both parts are very well made, but the instructions are indeed sketchy. After three of us (my son, myself and my husband) spent 45 minutes imagining many ways to install this properly while making up for the insufficient instructions, we realized in a stroke of genius, that it was so easy that it had alluded us and most of the other purchasers who came up with other fixes. A better diagram would solve this in an instant. All that is needed is to lightly screw the two pieces together with the screws provided. Then carefully sandwich the drywall or wall between the two pieces and then tighten the screws to make the unit hug the wall securely. That's it. Took 2 minutes. Looks fine. Works fine. Hope it lasts a long time.

Comes with NO back bracket-sold separately now. Needs new "Frequently Purchased Together" dialogue.

This should come ready for simple installation. Instead, the back bracket that receives the mounting screws (which were thankfully included) is now 'not' included. The "Frequently Purchased Together" dialogue at Amazon should include this item that is now an accessory: "Delta Faucet RP71072 Recessed Wall Clamp Zinc Plated, Chrome". The finish is beautiful and I could install a wood bracket behind this and simply screw into that, but I ordered the back bracket.

High-quality and durable

Bought this back in 2014 and because it's such a high-use item, had to come back to review it and tell how high-quality it is. The spring loaded roll holder is metal and never comes apart while you're trying to change the roll, which is already annoying enough (with cheap holders you end up searching around on the floor trying to put the spring contraption back together). Easy to pop in and out but tightly coiled so it stays firmly in place (no wiggling). You may need to use a bracket but we didn't have this issue as we used an existing opening from a 1950s recessed tissue holder and this Delta holder fit the opening perfectly. There was a small wood strip behind our old holder and we were able to screw the new unit into that securely without having to buy a bracket. It is roomy and holds the thick rolls from Costco.

Here is the one you want for mega rolls

This recessed toilet paper holder is definitely the right size for mega rolls it does not come with the bracket to mount it into a wall but you don’t need it just nail or glue some wood backing material inside the wall between studs A little further back then the holder goes into the wall let it dry and then stick the toilet paper holder into the hole and fasten with two screws
