Weird fit.

Very, very cute, but a weird fit. We measured our dog, but the costume was tight around her front legs when we put it on her. It fit the way it was supposed to everywhere else. I slipped my fingers under the material around her legs to make sure it wasn’t too tight. It felt fine and she seemed comfortable in it. But after an hour and a half of trick-or-treating, when we got home we realized we were never going to be able to get it off her without cutting it! So we did. She’s only a puppy, so we wouldn’t have been able to use it again for her anyway. But it’s still a bummer that we couldn’t give it to someone else to use.

Super cute

Adorable costume but might need a little repair. Bought a medium for my little 17 lb dog. It juuuust fits her. The velcro closure around the chest stays closed just fine but the one around the belly doesn't. I don't blame that on the velcro though I blame that on her long fur. The wings separated so off to the glue gun. Easy peasy fix. Now it should hold up for Halloween night. She looks adorable in it. After reading the reviews I kind of expected it but it was worth it cause she is so cute!

Overpriced

The materials are not worth the cost. The sizing chart is not very accommodating, recommend choosing a size up if ANY of your measurements do not align with the rest. The picture does not show the wings glued down to the costume, as the way it was received.

This was the doggone cutest costume !!! It was just too small for our pup but that was my bad. The seller was wonderful!!!

Cute but not made to last

Item is very cute but the sewing on the taffetta body closure is just folded over so unravels easily. The wings are cute and sturdy, so will jury rig them with velco to attach to her chest harness. Worth what they asked, just dont expect many uses with the material unravelling. Maybe Ill try some "iron on" hem tape...

This is the cutest!

We bought a size large for our Medium Golden Doodle. This costume overall was amazing. The only thing was that it was a little small; but that was because we measured incorrectly ????. But the costume is still so adorable! I definitely recommend buying.

This is hilariously adorable.

My little butterfly took flight in this hilarious Halloween costume. It was perfect, and she didn't mind it at all, save for the flower, which she did not enjoy having on her head. I put it on her neck instead, and it works there, too. I ordered an XL for my Brittany, Ripley. Ripley is slightly large for a Brittany, about 20" tall and 39 lbs with a 24" chest. The XL fits a little snugly around her chest, but if I ordered a larger size, it would be way too big. It fastens, and it stayed on and the velcro did not come loose at all during our little impromptu photo shoot, which is a success in my book. Overall, I think it was worth the price and it made for some very cute pictures. The material is a little thin, and you have to be really careful with the sizing (a larger dog definitely wouldn't fit in this size), but I would purchase a similar costume in the future.

I really wish this costume had fit my dog as it was very pretty and the skirt was full

I had to return mine as it was too large. I have found that Rubie's costumes simply don't fit my dog. The small is too small and the medium too big. I really wish this costume had fit my dog as it was very pretty and the skirt was full.

Great Quality and Fit

My little fur baby, Penny, looks absolutely fantastic in her costume. She wore it a few times - once at a fundraising event and for Halloween yesterday. Many people stopped to ask to take photos of her and several asked where I got her butterfly outfit from. I will definitely order more clothing for Penny by Rubies Costume Co through Amazon. With the holidays coming up, we need some new outfits! Penny is 6.8 lbs and the small fits her wonderfully.

Cute but damaged

Costume was inside out in the package so it was clearly returned previously. One wing has a tear or crack, the other has plastic bits sticking out and both are peeling apart.

Sizing is definitely off on this outfit.

My lab in this pic is 56lbs and we bought an xl. I had to cut the front leg holes and add about 5 inches of material on both sides. And add more Velcro to the belly. I should have sent this back but I just loved how cute it was. Too bad it didn’t fit properly

It was really cute but cheaply made. The left wing came apart after like 10 minutes of wear. It looked as though it was glued together not sewn on the wing
