Beautiful result, with helpful tips before you decide

This turned out just as I had hoped. This is the beige version. The seams do line up, but it’s not at all easy to get that to happen because the way the images connect on each side is not super clear. One image shows the seam. I ended up laying it out on the floor and measuring each panel before it went up. Saved time and arm strength having to hold it up and try to find the matching seams. Plus it’s a 24” repeating vertical pattern so you will potentially sacrifice a lot of paper to make it happen. This 8x8 accent wall took 3 tubes of paper (total order cost $110). If the rolls were not 20.5” wide but rather 24.5” wide, I could have done it in 2 because most walls are even numbers of feet (8 feet across in this room), which at 20” required 5 vertical strips instead of 4. And that 5th strip was hard to manage when preparing it. Because I only needed a 12” wide strip at the right edge, I had to cut off 8.5” all the way down the 8 foot long strip. I used a box cutter and healing mat on the ground to do it. But it was a big challenge to measure accurately, which was all avoidable if they’d used a grid line on the back line other brands. That alone will have me looking at the other brands. Also, you can’t cut it after install because you can’t have that much sticky paper to manage at that corner or it would get stuck on the side wall. Maybe there is a better way, but I didn’t see any samples of that online. The product is great quality. It doesn’t stretch (which is good) and it stuck great even over my ‘orange peel’ surface of the wall (semi-gloss paint, so I think that helped too). I used a micro cloth mop that I sprayed with a gentle cleaner to wipe down the wall in advance to make sure it was clean. I also used a level on the side for the first panel. It does lift easily if you need to reposition, which I had to do in order to get the seams to match up. I mostly used my bare hands to smooth it out and followed that up with a shower squeegee to pull out any bubbles once I was good with the placement. It took a full afternoon (and most of that was measuring and matching seams) and I’m very happy with the result. But if I had a do-over, I would not pick this 2’ repeating vertical pattern that’s hard to line up, and instead pick a shorter more clearly obvious pattern that would make it easier to line up and create less waste. But as far as the quality of the product, yes indeed, good stuff and I’d use it again for sure.

Pros and Cons of Peel and Stick Wallpaper

I have put up wallpaper on four or five occasions in my life, and it is not a chore I enjoy. This was my first experience with peel and stick. The verdict: it has its advantages and disadvantages. First, the advantages. Obviously, there’s no mess. You don’t spend time waiting for the glue to set. You can lift it and replace it if necessary. (I had to peel it and move a strip 2 days later and it was amazingly easy to do so.) And hopefully it will be easy to do so again when I want to replace this. Now the disadvantages. You can’t slide the paper on the wall to match seams and print. That may seem inconsequential, but in reality, it is significant. There is a lot of paper backing that you have to deal with, and that is cumbersome as you peel and stick long strips. Also, there is an unpleasant odor. And finally, I think that removing glue backed wallpaper is a bigger chore than hanging it, so that task looms large for the next time you want to change wallpaper. So there you have it. I would definitely recommend peel and stick, but my daughter who helped me, is convinced that glue is better. So we have a hung jury....

Color Lots Don't Match from Roll to Roll

The dye lots are different from roll to roll even though they were purchased at the same time, so a seamless-looking wall is impossible. After deducting for crown and baseboard moulding, each strip I cut is about 7 feet long. Even so, I only get two strips per roll because the repeat on the pattern is so large. This means it will take several ill-matched rolls to complete a single wall. The difference isn't so great that you notice it when the rolls arrive. It is only when you get them on the wall that you can really see the problem. (I realize the company sells different colors of the same pattern. The colors weren't mixed up...this is about dye lots not matching.) I haven't noticed it shrinking as another reviewer mentioned, but I also haven't had it installed for the month that she said it took to start showing. As much as I like this and wanted it to work, I can not recommend it. While it is cheaper than traditional wallpaper, what difference does that make if you end up with a wall where every 3.5 feet is a slightly different shade of the same pattern?

Quality, elegant, easy to apply

I must have had this peel and stick wallpaper in my Amazon “save for later” section for over a year… Not only am I mad that I waited so long, I am mad that I didn’t trust my instincts. This paper is absolutely fantastic! Not only is This paper the perfect thickness, I don’t mind at all that I can see my slightly textured walls. In fact the shimmer of the wallpaper complements by adding more depth and Contour. I have never used peel and stick wallpaper before and all of the reviews said not to use on textured walls. However, it’s sticking very nicely to my matte walls with zero concern or issues with the wallpaper peeling or bubbling. Also want to note that the cherry blossoms are white with a tiny mauve center. I chose this wallpaper to add a bit of whimsy to my heavily wooded and tradition dining room. What normally is a pristine and peaceful place, has now turned into our distance learning/ utility headquarters. Darn you Covid-19 (for so many and much more important reasons too) !!!!

Beautiful wallpaper with a slight shimmer

This wallpaper is absolutely gorgeous, nice and sturdy, which makes it easier to install. There was a slight sheen to the pattern which I didn’t mind, but some people may.

It has a pearl sheen… the beige looks silver

Easy to use and install for anyone crafty/handy. I ordered 5 rolls and made sure all rolls had the same run/lot number - the did. This means they should all color match HOWEVER one roll is noticeably lighter after seeing it up on the wall, even though it has the same run number. Most disappointing is the paper has a pearly sheen to it. I was not expecting that and wouldn’t have ordered had I known it. It causes the sun casting on the wallpaper to make it look silver and shiny. Not beige and it actually looks very very gray/silver. You can see in the photos. Up close you can tell the background color is a beige but because of the sheen when it’s on the wall it does not look that way and does not match my other beige/taupe Interior. The flowers in the image on the ad look beige however in real life they are actually a peachy pink. Quite noticeably pink. To me it has a very bedroom or bathroom feel to it because of the sheen. Then the kicker is, I ordered five rolls to make sure I wasn’t short. I didn’t need the fifth roll and when I went to return it Amazon is charging $10 return shipping. So be aware that returns are not free on this item if you do not like it or order extra.

Looks really nice on the walls

Here's the thing - the wallpaper was rolled bottom to top - I guess with the assumption that people would unfurl the entire roll and cut specific pieces - tricky to do if you have high ceilings. I'd give this wallpaper a 10/10 for looks - it has this really nice sheen and is busy without being overwhelming. But installation - 5/10. They don't say how to do inside corners (not every wallpaper is a mural) and we had to unfurl the entire roll and re-roll.

Best looking wallpaper!

The media could not be loaded. This is beautiful! Easy to install. Great quality. It might be trick to match the pattern on big surfaces though. But, it worth the try!
