Just as the therapist wanted.
Works great. The therapist set it up and showed me how to use it. This is one of her favorite tools for hand and or forearm injury, It helps me get my strength back in my hand and forearm.

Too Long for Woman's Hands
I've been using this type of exercise tool for over a decade now. My old one from my physical therapist broke and I got this one to replace it. However, the spacing between the grip and the bands is far too long for me and I cannot use it at all. The length is clearly for someone with longer palms perhaps a man, though he would need very long hand to use this, not even my hubby can use this well. Deeply disappointing.

Grip strengthener
I really like how there are five different weights of bands because you can go from very mild to extra extra strength. Easy to put together, easy to operate, and stores easily. It is brittle plastic and even though nothing has broken on it, I am concerned about the little clips on the sides. They don’t seem to be as strong as they could be. But, so far so good! I do recommend this product.

Total of only 4 usable rubber bands ! And they are of the 2 smallest widths.
Years ago I first used one of these units at a physical therapy (PT) facility, after a cast on my right arm was removed. It was setup for minimal resistance. I purchased one recently for use in general purpose daily exercise of no more than 5 continuous minutes while also using a stationary recumbent bike. Maximum range of handle travel 2.5" ( 64 mm ) Has super smooth operation, and seems robust enough that it should withstand the resistance of at least one pair of the widest rubber bands provided with it, that is if you are somehow able to attach them and keep them attached. Good luck ! :-( The frame's band attachment lugs are notched only 4.5 mm, which means that the device is not designed to accept bands much wider than that. In fact, the device was originally designed and marketed for PT, which is generally an application of minimal resistance. It came with 4 pairs of 2 mm thick rubber bands. All have circumference about 9". Widths as follows: Yellow; 4 mm width Red; 6 mm width Green; 11 mm width Blue; 14 mm width The green and red bands are completely useless. As explained earlier they are FARRR too wide to be attachable. I was able to get the red bands on, but just 2 of them in combination with the 2 yellow bands did not produce enough resistance to meet my requirement. So there are only 4 usable bands included, yet the frame is designed with 9 attachment lugs. This begs the question: How could the manufacturer be so stingey so as to include so few rubber bands, which are are dirt cheap to manufacture ??? I payed about $18 for a small 2-piece plastic assembly with 4 usable rubber bands. Oh, and it has a Made in China sticker on it. I'm guessing that the manufacturer's modus operandi must be that it will be used for PT for several weeks and then will likely never be needed by that person again. And the manufacturer does not want a lot of used devices in circulation. TIP: If you intend to store it for longer than a week, you'd better remove the rubber bands, because when latex rubber is under continuous tension, its deterioration is GREATLY accelerated. So if you are using this device daily, expect to replace broken bands at a frequency ranging from weeks to months. I found an Amazon source of very low cost replacement rubber bands. They are ¼" wide, and have the correct length, but they are quite thin: Alliance Rubber 26649 size #64

Adjustable grip resistance
Like because I can adjust the resistance to each client.

Does the job.
Feel they are pricey. Thought about buying the hand exerciser to get the cost down but didn't need another one.

Rubber bands are old and dried out, limiting useful life.
I bought this to help rehab my hand after I broke my finger. I had used it at the physical therapist's office. Unfortunately, the rubber bands that came seem to be very dried out and crack, etc. when you use them which limits the usefulness of the product. I wanted to contact the seller to see if they would replace the bands for me, but I don't see a way to do that. It's a shame as I was hopeful this would really help me.
