Great blades

Bought these for my son and they are great. Just what he needed to get started in roller blading. They are easy to put on and adjustable so he can get just the right fit and they will last a few years. Would buy again.

Great Starter Roller Blades

Great starter roller blade. Bought for child who is 5yr. old, with size 12 1/2 (child) shoe. The sizing on these things is really ridiculous so I took a chance and bought the adjustable 2-5 hoping he would get some extra wear and am so glad I did. These fit his feet adjusted to the smallest setting! These are well made and hold your child's foot securely in place plus are comfortable for the kids to wear for extended periods of skating. It does take a little bit of skill to get these things on and adjusted but the older kids catch on quickly and soon need minimal to no help. The skate adjusts over the ankle and over top of foot with a thick, plastic strap (used like a zip tie) by the push of a button on one side and a flip closure (to secure) on the other so it holds the foot and ankle firmly in place. Just be careful not to tighten too much or child will have a painful skating experience. They roll super smoothly on sidewalks and concrete driveways (Yikes!), and smooth on asphalt roads. We are currently practicing walking/gliding/not dying on grass....it's a process! ;)

UPDATE: We have used these skates 1-2x/weekly for a few weeks and one of the strap locks is already broken. Not too expensive and perfect for my 10 year old. He had them on and going in no time.

Great value and style

My son broke his old skates. I wanted something economical but sturdy. I decided on this one. The design is awesome and looks so cool. Color is bright. It adjusts easily and is sturdy but not heavy. I thought I might have had to return it at first because they looked small and were tight on the feet. That's when my little kid told me to read the directions! Yes read and be enlightened! I figured out how to lengthen the boot size, problem solved! Then I realized that these skates actually fit the range of sizes the product states making it a good bargain in the long run because they will fit growing feet! Great product so far!

Using for my 4 year old

My 4 year old wanted roller blades, he is a little smaller than the recommended shoe size for the smaller size of roller blades. We just put him in thick wool hiking socks and it works just fine. They were also ease to adjust. First time out he was on a not flat surface and struggled, the second time out we went to a park, and within 15 min he was getting himself up from the ground, and moving unassisted to and from a fence.

Make sure to mark as gift!

Product works fine - came in a box with the picture on it and my son saw it before Christmas, so that's great.

Wheels didn’t last a month

We ordered these skates for my 8 year old son who had never rollerbladed but has ice hockey experience. We were very happy with the boot and fit. However, the wheels didn’t even last a month. I would have expected these rollerblades to at the very least last the summer. It has been very difficult to find 72mm wheels to replace and when found they cost just as much as the skates themselves. I do not recommend these for a child who has hockey or rollerblading experience.

Perfectos para niños de 7 años

Mi hijo utilizo otro par de patines antes de estos. En cuanto se puso los Roller Derby los domino de inmediato y patino con mas seguridad. Son de buena calidad y buena relación entre precio y calidad. Muy recomendables

I bought this back in November. It is now February and my son has not stopped skating with it! Amazing quality and still holding up very well! Highly recommend it!

Good fit and comfortable

My 10-year old bought these with his birthday money and so far loves them. He says they are comfortable and the sizing appears accurate - he's a size 1.5 shoe and seems to fit the smallest setting in these roller blades well. Not sure how they will hold up since he's only been able to use them a few times before the winter weather hit, but would rate high for initial impression.
