Love this shoe. Bargain

Comparison of four shoes: I tried on the indicated sizes of the four shoes listed below – I had them all at home and compared them extensively. All four shoes were pleasant surprises in that I liked all of them very much and the first three were very inexpensive. The main differences in these black loafer-style shoes are small differences in style and fit. The Geox and “Bike” slip-on had defined heels, giving a somewhat dressier appearance; the others had molded soles/heels. The SAS shoe had a leather band across the front (where a penny loafer would have the penny band). One thing that I can’t comment on is how they will fit after a couple of months of use, but I suspect they will remain good. I confess that I kept one of each shoe – I expect that one or two of them will turn out to fit particularly well but can’t predict which those will be. 1. Rockport Men's Palmer Venetian Loafer 12W, 13M Comments. Loved these shoes. There is a small amount of elastic at the joint between the top and side of the shoe. Leather and fit very nice. Runs a bit big: I usually am 13M but that was too big and 12W fit. Excellent value. Comes in M and W but not 12.5. 2. Rockport Men's Style Leader 2 Bike Slip-On 12W 13M Comments: Loved these shoes. Fit and leather similar to the Palmer Loafer except the shoe is higher. As with the Palmer, 13M was too big and 12W fit. These have a longer toe box 3. Geox Men's New Damon 2 Plain Vamp Loafer 12.5, 13 Comments: Loved these shoes. 12.5 and 13 were available but not W width. Mainly true to size – maybe slightly on the large size. The toe was flatter with more room than in the other three shoes. 12.5 was slightly too tight, so had to go with 13. 4. SAS Men’s Ace slip on loafer 13M, 13Narrow, 12.5W, 12.5N. Comments: I got these directly from the SAS company in New Orleans, but they also are on Amazon. SAS was fast and very helpful – I tried two sizes in one shipment and sent them back for two more sizes which were shipped immediately in exchange even before the first two were received back at the company. Because in the end I kept one size, all postage both ways (through the USPS) was free. I also love these shoes. They are a somewhat closer fit, but seem to fit very well. This particular style is somewhat more casual. There is more arch support and ventilation holes on the inner side.

Light weight and good shoe

I tried shopping around for light weight dress shoe for a while. But this is a perfect one with good and also can be used for regular long walk. I really like this shoe.

Fine pair of shoes

Bought at least 2 pairs in the last 3-4 years. Surprising light, very comfortable, toe box large enough. I have plantar faciltis and must use additional foam pads which work well with the built-in pads. The only down side is the shorter-than-expected duration of the soles. I wear them for daily work in city and office environment. Soles deteriorated after a few months. The average duration of my few pairs was no more than 2 years (wearing 2-3 days per week). The top leather lasted much longer. That said, they are very good shoes, given the price.

EXTREMELY COMFORTABLE LOAFERS WITH SOME STYLE

I have the most finicky feet and most shoes I wear are not comfortable. These are so comfortable that I feel like I'm wearing slippers. The fit and cushioning and support are just right and I have high arches. I am going to buy another pair to have as a spare! Shoes are stylish for loafers and seem durable but for the price, they are a good value. Product size was right on with 8.5 shoe size.

great for avoiding back pain

I had recurring back pains from a fall down a flight of steps. A chiropractor sold me some orthotic inserts that were awkward. One day, I bought a pair of Rockports for no particular reason other than needing a new pair of shoes. The back pains stopped. I this was my 7th pair of Rockports since that first purchase. This pair is a bit more dressy than the others.

I wear out the treads and keep buying more

This is at least my third pair of these shoes, and that illustrates both what I like and dislike about them. I keep buying them because they fit great and are comfortable. They also look good, and slip on easily. I always wore size 10.5 until about ten years ago when sizes seemed to become less standardized. Now I usually wear between an 11 and 12. In these shoes, I still wear the traditional 10.5 or 10.5 wide, so keep that in mind when you choose a size. The reason I need to keep buying new pairs, even if they still look good, is that the soles wear out quickly. Once the tread wears off the sole, they become dangerous. They wear down to flat, slick spots were they contact the ground. A little bit of water on a smooth floor becomes like ice at that point. It's a situation where I am surprised and almost fall because it takes so little water to make them slick once worn. That's when I replace them. I tend to get about a year from the soles. The uppers would last much longer. I wish the tread material was better, but I like the shoes, the fit and the comfort enough to keep buying them. They look good enough to wear as dress shoes, but are comfortable enough for business casual. The color "New Brown Gradient" is interesting (this is my first pair in this color). Most of the shoe is a fairly normal brown, but it gets very dark near the toe. It's not a gradual change along the shoe, it just darkens the last 1-2 inches at the toe. It kind of looks like you were walking through wet grass and got the toes wet. I think I prefer the solid colors, but it is fine. Buy them, but keep an eye on the tread and be very careful once it is worn down.

Great fitting shoe. A little to big for my size but still really comfortable. A good pair of Insoles goes a long way. Yes I would buy again.

No laces on Black shoe

The picture for the black shoe is incorrect - these are slip on shoes with no laces and are therefore not fit for purpose for me. Sad waste of my time and their money returning :-(

Very Comfortable & Stylish

These are great looking and very comfortable Shoes. I usually used Dr. Scholls however always found them ugly. These shoes have the same comfort but with a style. They are very light and the first time i wore them i had the feeling of walking on the cloud! The sole is very cushiony and does not give me pain in the heel. It is available in wider version so it fits perfectly if you have a wide foot. Highly Recommended!

Being able to find shoes for Big and Tall Men!

These shoes were purchased for my son for Christmas. It is his size and I was thankful I was able to order his size since it is practically impossible to find that size in a regular shoe store.
