A new generation of dress shoes?

These things are shockingly, surprisingly comfortable and light. It's obvious that they've been built using sneaker technology, but man, there's nothing to the look or outside technology to give it away. Imagine a feather-light pair of tennies, but not overly-tight. But they just look like... just ARE... an absolutely legitimate pair of jet-black wingtips. All of the stichwork is there to see, the shoes full leather on the outside. (An absolute purist might fault the rubber soul, but they're thin, attractive, and more like vegan leather than rubber- and also surprisingly light.) In summary: the feel -- super comfortable tennies; the appearance -- beautiful black leather wingtips.

Comfortable, True to Size

I paid about $80 for the Rockport men's dress shoe from Amazon in x-wide (4E). The shoes themselves don't have much arch support and the materials used are thinner so I don't expect the shoes to last long or be durable if you need to wear them every day. However, the overall fit is fine. The toe box is slightly square and not pointy like traditional dress shoes. This allows for a more comfortable fit for wider feet. I bought these shoes to wear ocassionally and for a comfortable fit.

Comfortable and Affordable

I have been wearing a version of these for over ten years. They are light, comfortable, and durable. I love that they are actual leather so they don't peel but at the same time have a light comfortable sole. No these are not designed to last forever but they hold up really well. For less than $100, you are not going to find last forever shoes. If you wear them everyday and do extensive miles on them, you will get 6-8 months. At least that is what I got out of them when I managed a furniture store walking over 10 miles a day 6 days a week and moving furniture. I expect in a normal office job you will get about two years out of them assuming you polish them.

Lightweight, long lasting, comfortable and look classy.

Love Rockports! Color actually a little lighter than shown - but that's a positive! Great shoes, love the color. Took a day or 2 to break in, but after that very comfortable. Typical Rockports. Great!

Great shoes, have two pairs...black and brown. At the time of purchase, brown - very hard to find. Nice light, great quality shoe. Will purchase again
