Only Good For One Season

If you need something for just one season, then this should work for you. It was fairly easy to install but I needed help getting it over the pool pillow. However, I can’t use it next year. I never thought a $90 cover would be useless the following season. Some of the holes where you wind the wire through tore from the wear and tear of winter, making this cover unusable next season. I didn’t even have excessive water and debris on the cover. I was very picky about that all winter. The only reason I can think of that this didn’t hold up is because I had a pool pillow in my pool, so it had to cover that too. However, I did not have the cover stretched out to the max. It was loose enough to allow breathing room, contraction and that sort of thing.

Pay attention to the details

Well I wanna start by saying this, customer service has been a little bit of a nightmare considering they operate thru email only based on the “ warranty “ paper. Now the part that’s very frustrating is they only give you a “ 1 year “ FREE replacement and there after that 2nd year, 3yr etc they give you a “ discount “ again just dealing with this my frustration is my cover on year 3 just started shedding and getting holes. I keep it tucked away in a safe and dry place as well as maintaining it thru the off season. To me the 1yr free replacement is a joke. SO if you just bought this go ahead and get your free replacement if not you will pay for this. Now when I first bought mine it was great and doing well. You should get the pillow for the center to keep the water closer to the edges. I did all those things. I just wish they would change there “ warranty “ to your first claim being free no matter how many years and then your second discounted sure. But not happy with customer service or the product at this point. I have had this for 3 hrs and has been well taken care of till now ( ur 3 ) it’s falling apart with holes now and shedding really bad. Hopefully someone will find this helpful and get what you paid for in the first year free. I would had I of known this but you don’t know till after the fact because of how they set up there warranty policy and when you get it. Good luck. This is now a 3 stars for me.

OK, not great

An ok, cover, lasted through the first season. Some of the grommets started tearing out and there is obvious strain with any force on them. Seems like they should have had some extra reinforcing material. On the plus side, there was no obvious UV damage, unlike a tarp which was nearby so they got that right. The tiedown system is ok, but in a strong wind it started to come off. Needed to tie it to the sides of the pool at a few points. A big plus was that with the black side up it really heated the water well into fall. With the pump not running, the surface several inches was 108 degrees when the outside air temperature was in the 80s. Once mixed the pool was warm enough to be in much later in the year than last year.

Nice pool cover

What pool cover is easy to install? LOL. This is a pretty well made cover for the price. The tie down broke after the first use. Other than that, I would say the cover itself was fine.

Not suitable for high wind zone.

The product itself is good. Our pool is in an open location with little to no wind block. We had standard wind blowing to day and the tarp puffed up like a ballon and came off. Instructions where followed and metal wire line was tighten down per instructions. It just Acted like a parachute. I’d rather find a tarp that can be weighted down around the perimeter. Per this manufacture specs you are not suppose to.

Fits nice

I purchased this for an older 21ft pool that has wide top rails. Usually I buy a larger size. Everyone said this was good fit and I have to concur with them. The 21ft pool fit well for me. Cover is think as well. In the NE I am lucky to get 2 years out of a standard blue cover. This should last longer.

Just installed, will see how it lasts

Instead of a pillow we turned our tall steps over in the middle (type you fill with sand and too heavy to remove). The first time we installed it the wind blew it off the next day. So the 2nd time we used pliers to turn the winch tighter. The holes are spaced too far apart which makes it catch the wind more. Used bungies in 4 corners for extra protection. Will see how it does come spring. Instructions on the winch were just a picture but basically one cord goes up, through center, then down, and the other goes down, through center, then up.

Its bigger than you think

Its a nice cover, incredibly cheap. Looks solid and survived easily its first UK winter and 2 stroms. One thing to know is that its 2 foot bigger than the size you order. Not a massive problem but we would have ordered a smaller size if we knew as we ordered bigger and now have one that nearly touches the floor. The plus side is we can use pegs to peg it down rather than just rely on the cord.

Don't buy this unless you want a useless piece of poly.

I doubt very much this is the same scrim rating as what I ordered. Supposed to be 8X8 and weigh 9 lbs. Doubt it even weighed 5 lbs. It arrived with these tight creases with small holes near the outer edge. You can see the holes in the photos and since they all are the same distance from the edge I'd say it's from the manufacturing process. The grommets are of very poor quality. Some not even round.

Disappointed

I got this cover for our 20 feet round pool (I got the one for a 21ft pool) and it was just wasn't big enough. I don't know if they accidentally packaged the wrong size but it was really disappointing. As I tried to put it on the pool the spots that had been weighted down started to tear. The cord to keep it tight fit all the way around but wasn't enough to tighten.

It is the product i ordered.

I ordered the cover for my pool . I was very disapointed with the grommet spacing on the cover ! 5 feet apart is too far a spacing . Should be half that distance . It would be very easy for the wind to lift the cover . I'll see how good it is this winter .

Cheap connector

Product was correct size and cover itself is fine. Had to thread the wire thru which was ok, less 'holes/grommets' than I had in my last one (less fine but still ok). Problem is the connector is cheap. When I tightened it the final turn bent the grip. Will hold this winter but will for sure have to replace next season. Recommend to the manufacturer to get a better connector. I guess bottom line, you get what you pay for......
