Best Affordable Foundation

I've used this product for at least three years and keep returning. The coverage and price can't be beaten. I typically wear Estee Lauder Double Wear foundation for days when I need my face to look its absolute best. Rimmel Stay Matte is my affordable go-to option for days when I work from home or on weekends when I run errands and want coverage, but am okay with it not lasting all day. It helps me save money in the long run! Also, as cheap as it is, I usually pick up some darker shades in the summer and mix them. Use a sponge to apply to get the best coverage. Love it! Highly highly recommend.

Thicker Foundation For Those Who Like More Coverage

This foundation is a little more gritty texture like a fine clay almost. I would say it is full coverage and not sheer at all. Light Ivory is a bit too light for my fair skin. It feels cool on the skin but you really need to blend in or it will layer up. I believe the longevity is pretty good. I know it is very inexpensive but don't be afraid of it. I don't think it is for people who like more natural or lightweight foundations.

Consistent

I’ve been using this foundation for years now and am constantly impressed with the price and value of this. It’s a surprisingly decent foundation at a fantastic price on Amazon. The color has stayed the same over the years, which I appreciate. Pro Tip- cut the top off after the foundation is “empty” and squeeze out more for weeks.

Amazing

This product could give those expensive brands a run for their money! I used to use some of those top brands but they have gotten way too expansive. So I tried rimmel buff # 305 and I have a few freckles and those patches of brown spots on parts of my face and this makeup is full coverage and it’s so light weight I don’t even use powder and with this makeup you can’t see all those flaws in my face! Try it and you will fall in love with the results and your flawless face! I haven’t been able to find this specific product in Walmart or any other local stores anymore so I had to try other brands and I was not impressed, thanks to Amazon I can now have that flawless perfection from Rimmel again!

Best makeup ever!

My face is prone to breakout, and this stuff does NOT do that! It stays nice all day, and it covers up a couple of my dark spots nicely. It's lightweight and comfortable, and it looks great!

My long time favourite foundation

I have naturally oily and porous skin, in my teens i suffered a lot with Acne, although this tube has changed in appearance i do remember Rimmel stay matte being my go to, budget friendly foundation and it is good at covering acne and can also be layered up. I have included a photo, bare skin before and just this foundation in Ivory after. I like to wear face powder on top of this foundation too, i feel it goes well with this foundation and provides even more coverage and a better, long lasting matte effect. I often choose this foundation in favor of more expensive foundations since a more expensive price doesn't always mean better quality, at least not in my case. This is my all time favourite foundation and the Ivory colour matches perfectly to my skin tone, neither too pale nor too dark. I think a good tip i've learnt is when applying to smudge it down into the neck area too, this prevents any obvious foundation lines. From being a spotty teenager to now, in my early 30s this has always been my go to foundation, i've tried others, they've been a little hit and miss for me, but this one has never let me down, budget friendly, great coverage and feels lovely on my skin. I love Rimmel Stay Matte.

Great coverage without looking like The Mask

Let me start by saying I am a total beauty product junkie. When it comes to foundation I've tried A LOT of expensive brands... Dior, Lancome, Chanel, Givenchy etc. etc. Last year I decided to try a cheaper one for Glastonbury, in case it got lost in a field / down a long drop like so many of my possessions previously. After much deliberation I chose Rimmel's Wake Me Up foundation, which I fell in love with and have been using until now. The only slight issue I've had is a shiny t zone later in the day, which led me to this, Rimmel's Stay Matte foundation. Firstly, I like the fact it comes in a squeezy tube. Yes, of course it doesn't look as nice as some of the fancy glass bottles, but it is so much easier to get the last out when there's not much left. When it comes to the foundation itself, on first glance I wasn't quite sure what to make of the consistency and appearance. As other reviewers have said, it's like a paste, which doesn't sound that appealing, but honestly it's great! I use a foundation brush and it goes on like silk with a lovely velvety finish. It feels light on the skin, it's easy to blend and it gives really REALLY good coverage without looking like you're The Mask. It maintains a matte appearance throughout the day and I can't emphasis enough what a smooth finish it gives, it glides over enlarged pores and covers any little imperfections. I liken it to wall filler, which smooths over cracks and wear and tear, but I'm not sure I'm doing myself or the foundation any favours with that analogy. Basically it's a great product, superb value at around 6 quid and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend it.

Really impressed - great value

Really impressed with this foundation. I have been looking for a good coverage one for a while, tried so many makes (including more expensive ones, such as MAC) and they've done an okay job but not quite to my satisfaction. I found myself having to use quite a lot to get decent coverage on some days. I've also found some to be oily and not staying on the skin well. So it hight I'd give this a try as it seemed to have good reviews and I can honestly say its the best foundation I've used in I don't know how many years! I buy two shades I every foundation I buy as I like to tan myself but I'm naturally pale - that way I can go from pale to tanned and anywhere in between on whatever day I am in my tanning cycle haha. Sometimes the colours don't completely match my tone. Again, this foundation does that perfectly. I bought ivory and beige and mixed them up as I'm a light tan at the moment, and it looks lovely and my skin looks flawless, despite having a few spots! I will definitely be using this product as long as it is out!

Really great - featherlight but looks great

Loved this for how easily it goes on and blends in but especially for how it feels like as a feather on my skin…I don’t feel caked in make up as I often do with foundation. And it gives great coverage for a long time. Delighted. This will be my new go-to foundation; and at a fraction of the price I’ve been paying with other brands.

Excellent product.

I have been using this foundation cream for many years, and hope to continue. I was, however, disappointed to see it sealed in plastic, then wrapped in plastic before being dispatched in an Amazon cardboard envelope. Needless use of plastic.
