Great beach shelter!

We bought this to take to the beach. We are a family of pale-skinned redheads so we need to be careful! I was shocked at how small the box is but I was able to set up, take down and return to the box with ease. The size of the tent is such that 3-4 average/small adults can stand up side by side. There is no bottom to this tent. Plenty of room for several chairs or lay out a "floor" of beach towels. The net sides allow for plenty of cross ventilation. Alone, it took me about 20 minutes to set up and I know that subsequent times will be much faster - it really isn't that complicated once you've done it. The two long rods are stored accordion fashion - there is a strong, elastic cord running all the way through each rod - and have their own pouch with a tie at the top. The anchor cords/hooks are in their own pouch with top tie and the tent itself has it's own bag. The whole thing will fit easily in our trunk full of luggage. My husband is glad for the ease in setup and we and the kids and grandkids will be happy for the shelter from the sun. I'm very happy with this purchase especially at such a good price!

Pretty good for cost.

This is a reasonable quality, lightweight shelter. My only reason for 4 stars is that it's a little awkward to assemble -- but is just as easy for 1 person as for 2. Held up to strong winds at the beach. Roomy and, thankfully, no floor. Tips for use: Like all have said, for beach use you need better stakes. $0.79 each at Walmart for the yellow 9-inch. The long arch supports should be threaded individually through the front and back sleeves -- the front with legs to the back, and back with legs to the front. Then go around and insert the tent anchor pins into each leg causing the arches to bow up. Tie the arches as the sides and anchor as you need to. There are cords provide to anchor the back arch loop and to tie on the side where the arches cross. Like I said, awkward but only takes about 10-15 minutes. I had no trouble even with a stiff breeze.

Bad things aside

Once set-up, the canopy promises what it delivers; getting it set-up is a royal pain. We bought the canopy principally for use at the beach, so the kids had a place to play out of the sun. Thank God we didn't try to set it up on the beach first. The 'trial-run' inside our condo took nearly one-hour from start-to-finish, and that was without any sea-breeze complicating matters. The instructions are ok, but the demo-pictures are in black-and-white and only serve to confuse the issue. What's more, despite what the stock-photo might indicate, there is no floor in the canopy, so attempting to start there set us back another 5-10 minutes. Bad things aside, the canopy is very big and roomy, plenty of room for 2-3 chairs along with towels/coolers/etc. That being said, I highly recommend putting it together prior to use, folding down the legs and then simply extend/lock them into place for easier set up. The supplied stakes were more than adequate for beach use, so I'm guessing they would work even better on a sports field, but be sure to bring a mallet of some magnitude.

Nice and Affordable. Great product

Perfect size for an 8ft inflatable pool. Product is as described. Better than what I was expecting. Took a little while to put together, had to ask help from my son. Bottom line, we’re happy with this purchase. Let’s see if it survives this brutal 2021 summer in the desert (Las Vegas)

Not for us during soccer games.

We bought this for watching the soccer game. It is large enough to fit three adults across. After putting up half a dozen times or so - it still takes two of us about ten minutes to get it set up with the stakes. It does stay secure with the stakes in place when it gets windy. We were cut off from the rest of the team parents. The material on the siding prevented us from socializing with the others. If you want privacy on a beach or something, this might be for you. We do wish it was not so time consuming to put up. The others seem to get their overhead covers up much quicker.

Couldn't have asked for a better cabana for our beach trip!

This was a big hit! We expected it to be a little smaller, but this was the perfect size for our family of 4 at the beach. It was easy to set up, and the mesh allowed the breeze to blow through beautifully. There was plenty of room for all our gear - towels, backpacks, cooler - and even room for a few chairs! I would highly recommend this to families who may need a bit of shade at the beach! One thing that I suggest with it - 10" tent stakes. This is a large canopy, and this needs deeper stakes than come with it.

Broke after 1st Use

I think we can repair it but a line connecting the poles snapped. It was good shade and protection from bugs for me and my baby the one time we used it. I did buy bigger stakes to actually keep it in the ground. The little ones provided are useless.

quick shelter

Great item to have with you when on the sideline and you need a little shelter. Easy up, and large enough to cover players sitting on a portable bench, fits into a very small tote and is very light. Wish it had a little more cover for rain protection.
