Good but you have to get the hang of it
At the beginning, not easy to use when you are not used to it but after a few tutorials on youtube, I mastered very well. It is possible to make curls/waves or to straighten the hair.

Depends what you need.
I have fine chin length curly/frizzy hair. I wait until it’s nearly dry to use the brush. It smooths my frizz well and leaves a little curl. It’s not going to straighten your hair so don’t get it if that’s what you want. It’s not going to curl like a curling iron, either. There’s not enough “grab” to put any tension on the hair. The 1.5 in. barrel is the perfect size for me. The small one is pretty much useless, but i think it would probably end up cracking if you changed the barrels frequently, anyway. Power is fairly weak. But I don’t want it hot or hard blowing because that would cause my hair to frizz. It’s cheap plastic but it’s fine as long as you don’t drop it. I wish the bristles were a little grabbier. For the price, it does the job for me but forget it if you have longer, thicker hair or intend to use it to dry your hair. Next time, I’ll probably buy a little better brand, myself. I would love if it was exactly like the full size Revlon brush but smaller barrel. I’ve had that for months and it’s still going strong. It’s just too big of a barrel for me now. Update. Exchanged it for the more powerful one. Pretty much the same except only one barrel, much stronger blowing power, sturdier plastic. Worth the extra 20 bucks. Still has a gentle setting but has more uses than the 500 watt model.

Works Well for Straight Hair
I hate to admit my age but I’m 74 and this is the first time since I was 3 years old that I have not had a permanent! This is also my first time using this hair dryer. I thought I’d have to use a curling iron after damp-drying my hair. But no curling iron! At my age, I needed to sit down to use the dryer so I had no mirror. I just sat in a chair and started at the back getting each section of hair nearly dry. When I looked in the mirror, I decided to brush my hair and see whether I really needed a curling iron. No curling iron needed and my hair looked just like I wanted it to.

Works okay
Didn’t realize it was only 500w, doesn’t get hot enough for my hair type. If you have fine or delicate hair I’m sure it would be perfect. I’m ordering the 1200w, that one works awesome for crazy, curly hair. My fault for not checking watts before ordering.

Cuts drying time down
I've only used a couple times. It was easy to put together. It does cut drying time down. Has good power. Straightened my hair straight, & I've got Curly hair. I've gotta use it move before I can give a full review.

Love it for my short, fine hair, but they don’t tend to last a long time.
I really love this tool for my fine hair, and I think it works a lot better than other name-brand products that are quadruple the price (think L’Ange, etc.). I would give it 5 stars, but this is my 3rd one. They tend to mysteriously break with little to no force, and make a weird grinding noise after a year of normal use. At their current price point, they are still worth it if you have short, fine hair though.

Great for short & med. lengths hair w/those having hard time holding both brush & hairdryer.
I’m a 27+ year veteran hairdresser. Many of my clients are getting older and having a harder time holding both the hairdryer and round brush, especially when trying to do the top and crown areas. 1-I don’t allow them to engage the button that allows the brush to roll or rotate. Hair is too easily tangled up and knotted in the bristles. 2- The handle is slender enough for small hands and slightly arthritic ones to grip well, without being too heavy or bulky. 3- The brushes have cool touch tips allowing them to be used for stability. The bristles are just long enough to grip well on medium to thin hair types without tangling. 4- The multiple heat settings aren’t too many or to little. I have not had a client unable to use it or unable to get their desired results. I was pleasantly surprised with my client who has very curly hair and wanted a tool that she could use to both dry and straighten her hair in one unit. Using the larger brush attached, a bit of practice and the proper styling products, she’s able to achieve the goals we set. She’s able to get the volume at the crown with a bit of bend (as if she used a large barrel diameter curling iron) and eliminate the frizz from having naturally curly hair. She’s also able to straighten and dry her longer, side sweeping bangs and once they are dry she uses the hot setting to seal out frizz and make them shinier. I have every client who is thinking about it actually use it with me during their appointment. I don’t think that it’s the best tool for longer than shoulder length hair, or overly thick/coarse hair. Might be a great tool for long hair that was pre-dried, straightened earlier and you now wanted to dress it up a bit after work to go out. Hopefully this is helpful.

Nothing like the old one
With this fat handle it makes it hard for me to use. Was so easy with the thinner handle. Doesn't get as hot so it doesn't work as well either. I'm on the fence if I will return it or not. My old one is over 15 years old and just now starting to die. Will use the new one a few more times before I decide. As usual, new improved style that just made it worse

Finally, something for my bangs
This is somthing that I will probably marry at some point. I use a straightening iron on my hair, not this curler. I bought this for my bangs, which it styles perfectly, quickly and easily, something I have not experienced with large-diameter curling irons, toilet paper cores and clips, or anything else I've resorted to over the years to get smooth bangs with just a slight curve. It grabs and rolls well, even given the shortness of the hair it's used on. Two clicks up to get low air and heat, one click back for cool air, and done. I only use the larger roller, and the air is nicely directed through the holes in the barrel. The smaller curler blows air and hair all over the place due to the holes at the base. If I had to use this, I'd knock a few stars off the review.

The barrel size is great for my length but for anything longer than chin ...
If you are looking to style your hair with this product from wet hair....this is not the product for you. I have short hair and dried it about 85% before I switched to this dryer. The barrel size is great for my length but for anything longer than chin length I think it would be too small in diameter. It is easy to hold and manoeuvre and the heat does get hot however the strength of the blower is week. I find this tool great for the in between wash days when my hair needs to be restyled from the “bed head” look in the morning. I won’t be using it everyday but for the price paid it’s a welcome styling tool. My star rating would be closer to 3.5 out of 5

Poor product design. Not easy to send back
Both poor product design and a defective item. Not the easiest process to send back either.

Doesn’t get hot enough, doesnt grip hair.
Returning this - i have been using hot air brushes for 30 years this one doesnt get hot enough and doesn’t grip the hair. This is the case of you get what you pay for, i bought this on a whim hoping it would be similar to my $70 hot air brush. No comparison.

Easy to use and does a great job styling my hair. But…
I liked the unit but it occasionally would over heat and not go back on until it was cooled off.
