Crotch front and back review

UPDATE: Thursday June 27, 2013 Eighth SESSION with 2nd bulb Flashes used this session = 34 + 1388 from previous sessions. Total = 1422 Setting : 5 This covered EVERY area of my crotch both front and back... Although it is not meant for the pubic region, it can be done if this is your goal but be warned some areas are SUPER sensitive. I used level 5 the entire time and to be honest, some areas flashed were a bit painful but overall the treatments and pain are tolerable. As far as I'm concerned this cartridge performs as advertised. Update January 18th 2014: I am now starting to use this on my inner thighs as well as my crotch area as shaving in that area causes terrible ingrowns and scarring. Very effective, albeit painful

You have to be willing to invest a significant amount of time, effort, and pain towards the process, but if you do the results are amazing. Worthwhile in the end. I’ve been using this for many years now. When I get lazy after 12-18 months and the hair grows back, I reinvest the time to do 5-6 more treatments and the results are the same. Very pleased. I did notice the actual device I bought years ago was discontinued (at least on Amazon). Hopefully there’s a newer model. I think I’ve been using my Remington for 4 yrs now with no issue. I had one flashbulb that seemed to burn out very prematurely, but the rest were good quality. Overall, a great investment of my time and money.

stopped working after first use

The replacement cartridge arrived pretty quickly and worked well the first use. But when I went to turn in on the following week it only would flash a single time before the "burned out" indicator came on the device and stopped working. VERY frustrating! Its a hassle and a lot more expensive to use if it only works for one session. I was able to use previous bulbs numerous times on a high setting before they burned out. VERY disappointing. I've just bought one more bulb, hoping the prior once was just defective and this will last longer. Too soon to tell, but if this one burns out so quickly I'll stop buying anything from this manufacturer.

It works okay, but the bulbs just don't last

I've had the Remington i-Light for years. I'd say I've gotten pretty good results from it. It gets rid of most of the hair for a few weeks and I've definitely had some permanent hair reduction from it too, despite not actually doing that many treatments over the years. But, all in all, I'd say the results are mediocre for the cost and the time investment. I find the biggest deterrent to me actually using the i-Light is knowing the amount of time it takes, but as this review is only for the replacement bulbs, I'd like to focus on that. The bulbs are supposed to last for 2-3 full body treatments, according to the description, but I've never even been able to finish my legs with one bulb. I do, however, always use it on the highest setting, which may make a difference. I once read somewhere that the issue could be with the bulb overheating, and since then I try to give the machine time to cool down while I'm using it, but there's a balance between trying to make the bulb last and having the treatment take so long it's just not worth it, and I honestly can't say if it's even made a difference in the longevity of the bulbs. If I knew these were the results I would get, I probably wouldn't have purchased it. However, since I do have it, I have continued to purchase replacement bulbs. The results are JUST good enough to justify the price for me, but, realistically, I should probably just bite the bullet and pay for professional laser hair removal. Maybe the i-Light is worthwhile if you're only trying to do small body areas like your underarms, because you will be able to get multiple treatments out of one bulb if you're only doing small areas each time. But if you want to do larger areas like your legs, the time and cost really adds up. At this point, I've only spent a fraction of the cost of professional laser hair removal, but I've only gotten a fraction of the results. I don't know if the newer versions of the i-Light work better or if the bulbs last longer. Maybe this review is useless because I don't know if you can even purchase the original version of the i-Light, which is the one I have, but this is what my experience has been.

Dudosa procedencia

Este producto lo compro de manera regular para uso personal, esta vez pedí 2 cartuchos y lamentablemente me llegaron abiertos, no se ven usados pero el cuidado de la piel es muy importante, espero que resuelvan esta problema, si funcionan actualizare mi comentario.

No me sirvió porque mi depiladora es la 6500, pero como no hay repuestos para ese modelo, intente con este modelo y no funcionó,,, Remington está reprobado con esto, no vuelvo a comprar ni recomendar sobre la marca Remington

Segunda vez que compro. Salió defectuoso.

Es la segunda vez que compro el repuesto y está vez salió defectuoso, al parecer la resistencia de la lámpara se fundió en la 3ra sesión. Se escuchó como tronó, emitió una alerta intermitente y dejó de emitir luz.
