Regolatore Neutro Seachem 250 grammi

Brand:Seachem

3.7/5

28.00

Tutti questi prodotti miglioreranno e stabilizzeranno l'ambiente dell'acquario d'acqua dolce.

Disintossica l'ammoniaca. Rimuove cloro, cloramina. Regola il pH a neutro.

Great!
This is a great product to buffer RO water. I use it for my freshwater tank and it holds the ph perfectly. AND it’s literally HALF the price of Petsmart. AND it arrived the very next day. Very happy.

If your tap water is a very high PH, you may want to concider another product
First of all, the product does seem to work by some degree, but the rock water of LA county seems to give it a real run around and does some other odd things. This review touches two different topics. If you are at all serous about keeping fish, to hear my tapwater is naturally PH of 8.2 will make you cringe. It also has a KH of 5 and a GH of 7 by the API test I have. I keep a 10 gallon tank that is lightly planted with a dirt and aquasoil substrate. The directions for the product say to use 1tsp for a 10-20 gal tank to maintain a PH of 7, "or more as necessary," of which I mix into my changing water. Here's the kicker though: I use 1/2 tsp per GALLON to achieve only a PH of 7.6. That is what? 500% the recommended dose? And that is just the straight tapwater in a gallon jug I use during water changes, not actual tank PH (which has never been below a 7.6 save for about a 6 week period when I added Fluval Stratum, to which now has burnt out and stopped buffering.) And although it doesn't seem to change my GH, it sure does change the KH of the water, going up to a 13.5, which in some ways makes sense, but still! Further more, in my test so far, it seems doubling the dose to 1 tsp for a gallon of water and letting it sit gets me a reading of maybe 7.4PH, and the KH doubled yet again. Seems like a lot of product to achieve minimal returns in my circumstance. In the future I may try getting Seachem's Acid Regulator to more aggressively attack my PH issues. By this point, my 1 yearold fish are acclimated to the elevated PH and do well enough, and sometimes show breeding behavior, but should I really want to take my hobby to the next level, I will either need to figure out how to lower the PH more, or give up on tropical fish and go saltwater... That all said, I will continue to use the product for now as it works better than the Petco brand PH reducer I had given up on, and has had a sudden, unexpected change upon my tank I want to explore more. If you have a planted tank, this may be of interest to you: When I first got the product, I read the label and directions, but some how failed to see that it also removed chlorine and chloramine from tapwater, and continued to use the dechlorinator (Seachem Prime) I already had along with it for the first few months. Then just a few weeks ago I read the bottle of Regulator again and realized I was double treating, so decided to use Regulator only for a waterchange of my semi-regular 30%. To my surprise, the following week there was a huge change in plant growth, up to a whole inch of new, large and healthy growth. My stem plants look like palmtrees now, cause they were nothing but sticks with a few scraggly leaflets that were all to short lived, and now suddenly are branching out in full size! For a whole year I had been struggling to keep my plants alive and growing, I gave some liquid fertilizers a try, I tried doing more regular waterchanges, I tried doing less waterchanges, added to the tank new aqua soil. Nothing. Plants that once did fantastic were just dying off without answer, including the damn duckweed! You know something is wrong when duckweed is struggling! But the week I used only Regulator, sudden improvement to my remaining stem plants. It may be a fluke, but I am chasing this idea and logging it, and will update my review over the coming months should it be false or true.

Finally 7.0 ph
I was dealing with extremely low pH due to what I believe was a decaying fish I didn't see because it was behind the filter and didn't find the fish until it was 1/2 decayed. Water a Started getting cloudy after imtook fish out water was clearing up but never got clear. I then check pH and it was super low (below 6.0) I then discover that bacteria die or can't multiply with low pH which explains my high ammonia and cloudy water. I dissolved about 2.5 teaspoons in a 1/2 gallon bowl and added it 8oz at a time. I immediately checked !y pH and it was a 7.0 right away. It really worked and I am hoping that it stays stable and my biofilter can build up.

Surprisingly effective
I'm essentially going to copy my review for Acid Regulator in this space, because in my experience, the two products are linked - I use them together. Maybe I shouldn't be surprised as to how effective, after all Seachem is a company worth its salt, but I haven't had success with all of their products (Acid Buffer, PH Alert) but I have adored Prime, Flourish and now the "Regulator" series. Anyway, when used in conjunction with Acid Regulator, the efficacy is amazing. In buffered water the results are extremely predictable. I keep Clown Loaches, Neon Tetras, Albino BN Plecs, and Cories, so soft, slightly acidic water is needed. Finally, a product that helps me get there, and stay there. I brought the pH down from an enormous 8.0 to 6.8 over the course of 6 weeks (so as to not shock the fish). I have let it lie for 1 week since and the pH is stable. I had to do a little improvising... since my initial pH was so high, and my tap water so unbuffered, I needed more than the recommended dose. I had to add a small amount almost every day after the initial dose, and monitor the results closely with a pH liquid test. (For this I chose API's tests - the pH tests are accurate). I would take 4 test tubes, and keep up to 4 previous measurements over the days, so I could see the subtle changes in pH. Trust me, you almost have to do this to tell the difference between, for example, 7.6 and 7.4 on the low pH scale. Anyway, ever since achieving the target pH of 6.8, I don't need to add Regulator all the time anymore, just when doing a water change. I did one today, added the 1:1 dose of Neutral Reg to Acid Reg and guess what? My pH stayed exactly at 6.8. Awesome. Ever since getting the pH to where it needed to be, my fish have thrived. They are active, lively, eating well, and growing. Neutral Regulator works, and it WILL bring your pH to 7, and it WILL buffer your water, even if it softens it, and keep your pH stable. I dock a star because it's expensive, and because it wasn't particularly intuitive how to use it for proper results. But it wasn't rocket science either, just basic science. :)

Does a bwetter job than cheaper dechlorinating drops
This is my second time ordering this product. First bottle lasted over two years. I requires very little for dechlorinating and removing toxic chloramines from tap water, plus it neutralizes the pH to 7. (Our tap water here is very alkaline.)I use this for my 55 gallon aquarium, as well as watering my numerous large tank terrariums and paludariums.

Works ok
Didn't really notice much of a difference with my tanks when using this.

An essential necessity for your weekly water changes.
You need to 100% use this to keep the PH level at a perfect 7. Works every time. I don’t use ‘tap safe’ anymore, instead go for this and it makes your tap water safe for the fish. However I recommend mixing it in a bucket before pouring it into your tank. Because it will go misty for the first day and a few days later everything will turn white.

Impressive
I've been impressed with the stability of my pH since using this. It's brought my tap water down from around 8.5 to 7.0 and holds it there nicely. I pre-treat my water in buckets with this stuff before a water change to avoid bouncing the pH. What's really great, is that this treats the tap water too from Chlorine etc so no need to use TapSafe or anything like that - and as you don't need a lot of this (i have small tanks) it'll last a lot longer than the liquid conditioners too, so although this costs a little more, it will last longer and therefore much more cost effective. My Betta is much happy in his 7.0 water now :)

Didn't work for me
pH in my daughter's freshwater tropical aquarium is quite low (around 6.0). After persevering with this product for several weeks it has made absolutely no difference.

Keep Tank Healthy
I have bought this product mutiple times, i use it to remove the chlorine out of the water when cleaning the tank and during water changes, it is also good if your PH is a bit high as you cannot overdose your fish with this product. Would recommend
