I used glamourise's web site bra size calculator, it gave me a 34F recommendation. My regular size in other european bras is 32H or HH. Underbust is 32, full bust 42, overbust 36-37. So I bought a 32H, 34F, 34G, 34H, 36G, and 36H just to see how they all worked. First, every last one of them had FIVE hooks. Ugh. I've never had to do up more than four, and I can say the fifth one makes it much much harder. Once in, boy was that secure. Ain't nothing was going to mess with that. There is some stretch in the bands, and the bands are several inches shorter than the band size would make you believe. So they really do expect you to buy a bigger numbered band than the inches of your underbust measurement. Second, the 32 I could only do up on the very widest set of hooks. The 34 I had more choices depending on the cup size, and the 36s I could do up on the tightest set of hooks. So that meets my expectation, given there are multiple columns of hooks and the bands do stretch. When it came to cup sizes, though, things started to go sideways. Not a single one of them got the center underwires anywhere near my breastbone, they way it's supposed to be. None of them seemed to change the depth that much going from size to size in the same band--it seemed as though most of the changes were in the wire width, not the cup depth. The wires seemed like they are a good size for my bust root size--this brand is narrower than Freya, for example, which is better for me. But not adding depth is a problem, because I have very U shaped boobs. They're *long* not *wide* if that makes any sense. The real deal breaker though, was how an otherwise decent cup size would have inexplicable wrinkles right over the nipples. The fabric is clearly molded in some fashion even though it's not foam, and for some reason there's fullness in the nipple area that my boobs just don't pour into properly, leaving vertical wrinkles at the nipple that show under t-shirts. In cup sizes where there weren't wrinkles, I felt rather compressed all over, like I had to work to breathe a bit more. I really wanted this to work, I wanted at least ONE of the sizes to work out, because I really like a seamless cup. But I need to breathe and I don't want wrinkly nipples, and five hooks is just too much. *sigh*
