It's Lumpy

I loved how these looked in the picture, but I was on the fence after reading the reviews. Now that I have them in person, I can give my feedback on some of the reviewers. They seem true to size to me. I got a 36A, and the cups and band were pretty accurate to that. However, the comments about the inside seam showing through clothing are pretty accurate. Since it doesn't have any padding on the inside and is literally just two relatively thick pieces of fabric, there's no "cup" shape, and you can see where the inner seam is when you wear a shirt over it. You can't tell that from the product image with the model because the seam isn't on the outer layer, but it shows through when you have a shirt pressed against it, and it makes it look a little lumpy. As far as how it feels, I did have some pain in the places where the seams meet the first day I wore it, but I would chalk that up to breaking into a new bra. It feels better the second day, and I imagine it will continue to get more comfortable over time. I saw some people complain about it pilling in the wash, and I washed and dried it the day I got it and have not noticed that. I can't say if more washes will affect it, but it hasn't so far. I saw a review complaining about the color of the pink one, so I guess I'll address that too. The pink looks exactly like the one in the picture to me. It's a nice girly shade of pink. I'm not sure what the other reviewer was talking about. I was expecting it to look like the color of a Barbie box after reading that, but I was pleasantly surprised. I don't hate it, but I don't love it either. I would prefer a bra with the same outer layer for the look with some very light padding on the inside to avoid the lumpy seams showing through.

They are comfortable and last a long time. I've never gotten pink before, but they are pretty.

Cup size too roomy

I wanted to love these bras. They felt very comfortable. I at first ordered my normal size, 36B. The cups on those were huge! I would guess almost a C! So I ordered the 36A. Well, those also still had room in them and didn't even touch my skin. There was about a half inch gap. So I don't know how they're sizing these, but the cup is much roomier than it should be. Maybe if it had padding it would have fit better (but I hate thick padding). Otherwise they were soft and the straps and elastic felt very comfortable. They also seemed to fit nicely except for the extra room in the cup. Wish they sold AA (which I haven't worn in 40 years!).

I can't stand modern bras with all the crappy foam stuff in the cup! It's hot in summer and holds sweat. It's just not well thought out. The old style with a cotton lining and no underwire is the way to go! But the biggest flaw for me on this bra is the fact that there's something in the fabric that causes intense itching! When I first washed it by hand, with gentle detergent and later wore it, I almost felt like I was being bitten by fleas! So, I gave it another chance and this time used fabric softener in the rinse. I put it on, and it hardly itched. But as the day wore on, it did itch a little. I'll try more softener. Also, when I first got it and washed it by hand, a nasty chemical smell came off it. They need products made in the USA with nothing added! The bra is otherwise comfortable for me. I do wish it was a little bigger around and had a bit more fabric on the snaps. I'm only 120 lbs and 5'6" so if it won't go around me comfortably, how can it fit anyone larger?? So Fruit of the Loom, please make some changes and release the new version, and I'll buy ten of them right away!

Only bra you need

This is the only bra I will buy. I’ve tried so many and this is the best. Most comfortable, supportive, and looks good with low cut shirts.

Too small

I bought my usual size (36B) but the cups were way too small. Not only did they barely cover the essentials, I was spilling over the top like Dolly Parton. The bra seemed to be made well overall and the pink was a light, delicate shade which I liked. I am exchanging for a larger size (36C) and hope that will fit better. The return and exchange process was quick and painless, as always with Amazon.

Nice bra for the price.

When I took it out of the package I wasn't sure about it at first. I was hoping it was a softer and thinner material. The cup size looked a bit large. I am a 36 A, and cup size can make all the difference when bending over. I gave it a wash and tried it on and it's actually not to bad. It's comfortable but it reminds me of a bra from the 40's or 50's. It almost has that vintage bullet bra look. I don't know if I would order a second one but I am happy with this purchase. Nice bra, nice price.

Where's the fleece?

The lining is just regular undergarment lining, not fleece. Other reviewers alternated between the bra being bigger than normal and smaller than normal.. Based on that I went with my usual cup size but a larger band. The cups are a little bit big on me but nothing too obvious. The band is a big large for a size 36 but I can wear it at the smallest hooks. I might try to put it in the dryer a few minutes to shrink it to a better fit for me (it's made mostly out of cotton). Overall the bra is really comfortable and I like the shape of the cups. It is a natural form, not a rounded shape, or too conical. This will definitely be one of my go-to comfy bra.

A cup too large

The cup for an A is actually closer to a B. I cannot wear it. I am not a fan of padded cups as I am an athlete and I do not wear them, but I thought I'd try it out. Fruit of the Loom is a good product, well made however I will be returning.

Cups a bit too pointed

The material and quality of this bra seem good. However I cannot keep this bra because of the fit. I ordered a 36C. The cups are on the pointy side and that is not the look I am going for. Another reviewer mentioned the bra has a vintage look and that is right. Too vintage for me though.
